Quick Questions / Quick Answers

It just translates to shorter duration of the trade route by like 1-2 turns since if your trade unit is done with its trade midway it still has to return to your city.
I don't agree with this. I don't think speeding up the trade unit really has any major impact trade durations. I think you might see it shave a turn or two in some niche scenarios, but wierdly might even increase the duration by a turn in two in some other niche scenarios

Theoretically it might help your trade routes to avoid being pillaged by the enemy Civ or barbs.

Sorry if this post is out of context.
On late game, I get frequent CTDs just for dragging the map.
This is most probably a hardware issue, right?
Thank you!
Yes, it's related to memory, the game can't take more than 4GB of memory since it's a 32-bit program. If you drag the map, the game will load the texture but it can't since it ran out of memory.

It's more prevalent on higher resolutions though, since everything is larger.

Is there a way to edit files so that Barbs don't pillage tiles and plunder trade routes? I'm fine with them taking workers and settlers because you can counterplay that better.

what's the condition for a barbarian horde to conquer a CS at the end of the timer?
ANY barbarian surviving. Even if 1 HP will conquer the whole city-state outright.

Wish it's easier to tell the horde barbarians from the normal ones.

Sydney appears to have 2 settled cities, not conquered. Anyone knows what happened? Can City-states use captured settlers or something?

It's a captured city.
I've checked the save again and you're right. I thought captured cities still showed the original owner's civ icon greyed out next to the city name. I guess it doesn't work that way when it's conquered by a city-state

I understand that the max number of Civs+city-state+Barbarian in a game cant be above 64 because of how CIv 5 is coded.

However, the base install doesnt offer enough civs (23 max) to my liking and the alternate install with 43 civs, just doesnt have enough city-state. This has a terrible effect on the balance of some civilizations.

Is there a way for me to create an alternate 3rd option install with something more in the middle. Let's say 33 civs and 30 city-state?
Or this a process that is both time and knowledge intensive?

You can make a feature request on the GitHub repo maybe?
