Quick Questions / Quick Answers

You get random GW from target city when stealing. To steal another GW again in the same city you don't need to move out your spy. As long as that spy (or thief) inside a city and don't get killed they will keep trying to steal GW or technology. From my experience, when I saw GW screen in the beginning of turn and I did not use any of my great person it means my thief successfully steal one. Perhaps you encountered a bug?

How does the Hermitage theme bonus work? It says "from different eras and civilizations". I put one of mine from the modern era, one from Austria and the Renaissance, and one from Denmark and the Medieval era. And I still don't get the theme bonus. Maybe none of the GWs has to be mine? But I don't remember that statement in the requirements.

Thanks!

sometimes it's bugged just swap the same great works inside the hermitage and it should pop up the theming bonus or try not to put a GW from your civ

I don't really understand how India's ability works. My religion doesn't seem to spread, at what size does the religious pressure become significant?

On a somewhat related note, what opener is India supposed to take? I just tried a game as Progress but I wasn't sure if this was the right choice.
India's religious strength is in great prophets. You get them more easily, so you can found and enhance your religion pretty fast. Reforming is another beast, you can't posibly spread a quarter of the world population only with great prophets, so you either pass on reforming or target st basil.
Because you need your cities to follow your majority religion, you can use inquisitors to avoid other great prophets, but you will always have some other religions as minor in your cities, something you can use to your advantage (see pagodas).

If you can't get the best from your religion, don't worry. India's best is her huge population. Try to focus on that. Look for happiness sources so you can grow safely.

Is there a way how i can become AIs vassal voluntarily? I am below middle score now, but i couldn't do that in any previous game, always impossible. Is there any requirement for this? i don't understand that, i want a protection.

You need to enable "Human vassalage" in the advanced settup. (So too late for this game)

i have it enabled. but deal is always impossible
If you're not exactly Venice, they won't defend you. AIs consider human vassalage to be detrimental because you're basically getting to mooch off their defenses while you get to pump out hard tourism and science for ez victories. So they make calculations in the long-run that if they can still out-yield your pumps, they'll consider being a vassal to you.

However I have seen world powers submitting willingly to other world powers.

even if i provide them gold and science? but tbh i don't know if voluntary vassalage works diferently, except initiator can leave freely.

You provide him 20%, but he doesn't exactly take away 20% of your yields unlike the vassalage predecessor of civ 4.

yea, i noticed that i often pay more vassal maintanance than profit from him. also forced AI vassal does not create new trade routes, if any at all. butquestion have been answered. pity, i will stick with def pacts.

Does removing jungle/forrest action also removes brazilian wood camp? i would really gladly use GG for claim some land from AI, but i don't want lose culture from it.

When using those founder belief that gain culture and tourism when spreading with missionaries to other civ, is the tourism generated this way affects global or to target civ only?

1 and 2. Your average science/culture in the last 10 turns (was it 15 now?), modified by the number of Academies/GW of Writting you have.

Testing an assumption. I always assumed this was averaged for your science rate, but did not include all of the side bonus science you receive. Is that correct, or is it every bulb of science you get averaged in?

Where i can dissable DoW or peace making notifications with city states. Those are really bothering, much more later on.
