I think it's just an AI thing for simply preferring to choose those when they have a choice to do so (due to game options, or via some other ways to have various religions available).

I think there's an option in BUG also that turns on or off an event that if you have a particular favorite religion and it gets founded somewhere you get it in your capital automatically, and it happens for the AI as well, but I'm not sure that DH left this in place. Otherwise, I don't think there ever is any other benefit - though it could be interesting if it has a numeric effect on the likelihood of spread, either directly or indirectly.

I don't find many bugs in C2C because I seldom play at a higher level than Warlord or Prince, but I do get MAFs in the UEM mod late in the Game and in the Space Scenario sometime after I colonize a lot of the Galaxy. When we get a Good Multi Maps SVN it will make me jump for Joy and kiss people but I will patiently wait for the modding team

hey, I got new pc, could anyone advise me what I could improve to make c2c faster? I'm not sure if it was good idea to replace ryzen 5950x (16 cores 32 threads) to 9800 which is newer, but has 8 cores. also, 64 gb ram is ok? my gpu is geforce rtx 5090, and I don't know how check motherboard

I'm not sure if this is a serious question since your current CPU is not just the best gaming CPU currently available but literally the best gaming CPU ever. As for the number of cores, for old games like Civ IV what matters most is single core performance, and the 9800X3d currently has the best single core performance, even better than the 12/16 cores AMD CPUs (due to how they're built, having more cores equates to a slightly lower single core max speed). In essence, it's the best CPU you could possibly have for C2C as of today.

The RAM amount makes no difference once you've reached 4GB for C2C but more RAM allows windows background processes to run freely and prevents slowdowns due to multitasking so it's good to have. You may want to check the RAM timings and clock speed however, since the 9800X3d needs a "fast" RAM with "tight" timings to get its full potential. You'll need to access the BIOS for that however, which can be difficult if you're new to this kind of stuff.

There are some Windows 11 optimizations guides involving disabling processes and tasks to free up more CPU time, but I'd expect absolutely marginal gains from it with such a fast CPU already.

Hello, I am about to start a new c2c game after some years and was wondering about wonder movies, which I love. I know you replaced some (or all) wonder movies with static pictures in order to minimise download time, which I understand - esp. if you play with SVN. I don't since SVN breaks saves sometimes, and my games take months. If I were to really really prefer the wonder movies do I have a chance to download v43 WITH movies somewhere? I searched the forum but didn't find a conclusive answer. If not I'll manage of course and play anyway, the mod is fantastic!

Movies worked for me with v43. All non original movies and a lot of music doesn't work for me in v44.

I wasn't sure if I shouldn't replace to 9950 but yeah it seems like 9800 is faster on single core, thx for explanations I think my ram is ddr5 with 6800 mhz

as far as I know, standard random map generating scripts can't be used to create space maps, so access to this content (special tiles, buildings, improvements) is in snofru maps (I think it's the best currently existing space content in mod)

I download github c2c-master.zip from page,but this version seem not lastest but I cannot update because GFW.This dev version start a pink game and crash when you click any button
