@DanaLea The location of the log folder isn't in the mod folder, but in the game folder.

    Hope this helps.

I think it might be the 8 Ages of Pace/War mods.

I don't think it makes sense to use this mod and 8 ages of pace/war together. They both mod similar gameplay mechanics.

Unforunately I'm not able to debug based on that error message.

In essence, I believe the crash is possibly related to both Quo's Combined Tweaks and 8 Ages of Pace making INSERTS into the same tables. From looking at the logs, I can't tell which ones it is. I've occasionally made updates to my code to head off this possibility, but it's somewhat risky.

In general, while this mod is compatible with most other mods that add things (new buildings, units, leaders, policies, religions, etc) it is generally not compatible with other wide-scale rebalance mods. There are some exceptions. But generally that is the case. That's just an unfortunate limitation of large mods.

It's ok, I removed the 8 ages ones and I'm using yours, it seems to be working. Thanks. :)

    Does "tokens" = envoys?

The language is a little hazy on the development side. But basically it's like this:

    • Token: A currency you can spend to buy an envoy at a city state
    • Envoy: The actual envoy at the city state

The actual modifier that creates the token code-side is called 'MODIFIER_PLAYER_GRANT_INFLUENCE_TOKEN'. So possibly "influence token" would have been a better way for me to describe it.

Only normal full ruleset works... using only civ mods and cqui & moar otherwise.

Got to the 'Version History' Tab and select the version you want to download. Just extract the folder into the civ 6 mod folder in your windows user 'Documents' folder

I run a lot of mods, so I'm not sure it's this one.. but I'll report it anyway, just in case.

I was playing a game yesterday, a great game, I was doing well. Had built my spaceport and the earth satellite, was halfway through the next thing I needed to build for a science victory... when Opps! I finished the "Future Civic" and it asked me to chose a new civic to work on. But it wouldn't let me select future civic again, and won't let me move on until I selected a civic, but there were none to chose from... so I was stuck.

Really bummed me out. I didn't get to finish the game. :(

Hey, isau, I was wondering how you get the debug messages to work. I'm trying to implement something similar in my mod so I can find issues throughout a ton of code but it doesn't seem to be working.

Hey! Love this mod and it's made the game a lot more interesting. I only have one thing I might gripe about.... Norway on the YNAEMP. Their new traits, no pre-req for longships and getting a free one with each coastal city, makes them extremely OP for a long time. Galleys and Quads cannot seem to hold their own against the number of them that he is able to field so quickly. I mean, from a realistic standpoint this is true to the Viking raids, but those happened in the early medieval period of history... not 2000 BC lol!! My solution was just to remove the lines of code that gave him those traits, but I feel something else could be done. I play as England a lot and having someone like Norway right next door with an armada of easy to obtain and powerful naval melee ships is a major struggle before we get access to Caravels or anything that can stand up to him.

Thanks for the report. I'll need to look into it. With the expansion coming out shortly I haven't been spending as much time on the mod lately.

Hmm not sure about this one. I don't think it's this mod that is causing that. At least I haven't heard bug reports about it. If people are experiencing this bug let me know.

Do you mean the debug messages in the SQL files?

They all write to a table called tblQuoDebug. You need a SQL tool to see them. It's an easy way for me to check file loading and so on.

    SELECT * FROM tblQuoDebug

That query will load up all the debug messages. An xOpen column row with a value of 1 indicates the file opened and xClose of 1 indicates it closed (i.e. there were no errors inside the file). There's also a message column, mainly used to tell me if a file fails to load, which part of the file failed. It works because SQL runs top to bottom.

A few balance issues I am noticing.

    - England having access to both the harbor and the Royal Dockyard at the same time effectively doubles their great admiral points. Halfway through a game (about 200 turns in or so), I looked at the great people screen and England had obtained all but 1 great admiral. This gives them way too large of an advantage. If you want to keep both districts, you might consider removing GG points from the royal dockyard.

    - Japan has the same issue, but with Great Generals. Early encampments and holy sites giving GG points to Japan gives them a huge edge over everyone else. Around turn 50 in a test game, Japan had ~50 GG points already and everyone else had around 10-20. They had obtained every GG available up to that point. A nerf to their ability to generate GG points would be great.

Hmm I may look into it. I haven't particularly noticed problems with it in my games. England originally got the second Harbor before Firaxis significantly buffed their Harbor in other ways, which is why it is so strong. I never bothered to change it after Firaxis buffed it so maybe it needs some revision.

I admit I haven't been playing as much lately due to a change in jobs and the upcoming expansion. But I can try to take a look at some point.

Just finished an awesome religious victory game with the Aztecs using your mod. Great to see it fully functioning again. I accidentally set difficult to prince even though I normally play King or higher and still found the improved AI and balancing let my opponents (15 civs on a large continent map) put up a decent fight. They even opportunistically declared wars against me to try to impede my unstoppable rise to power! Plus I loved the lesser warmonger penalties as the AI seemed far more likely to engage in battles with each other and myself, and kept diplomacy feeling realistic throughout the game. Looking forward to your continued progress on the mod after the expansion.

I just finished a game as England, and I finished with 15 cities. But I had over 30 trade routes... I got one for the harbor, another for the dockyard. That might be a bit OP I think. It was fun though. :)
