Quot Capita: Majesty

I think I remember something similar from the C2C trouble shooting thread, where the discussion was concerning the .AIGlobal defines DLL in their prehistoric era. Basically, the AI refused to conquer a city unless it can determine the benefits of potential resources in the BFC.
I'll see if I can track down the relevant thread, but it may take me a while. But I do think the next time it happens, definitely take a WB screenie and see what does/doesn't show up. Might be interesting.

I'm heading out into the "fog of war" for a week or ten days. I'll be back.

Kingpin my friend, have a good time, I look forward to seeing you on the forums again when you return.,

Drakar, I added the Tupi back into the mod. I'm thinking of adding in the Muisca and Maphuche as well, I'm pretty satisfied with the Mesoamerican civs now, and North America is also well represented, so my next focus will be S.America.

you should add a trait "per every era traits change random"
i always dream have a mod who change traits per era, like in history

also why start a game take so loong? i unzip the main file and 10 min pass and i even dont have any civ main screen

C2C already has that mod comp in it, and it is incredibly difficult to SDK in. Just my opinion, but this mod would lose a bit of it's flavor if it went that route.

As to the game taking so long to boot up, that is fairly common to most large mods, as the various DLL components take a while to load. Once you start continuously playing the mod, load up times will be reduced. Additionally, you can load your game directly from the save game folder, which will also reduce the load time for your game your currently playing.

Thankyou for answering him Drakar, you explained it better than I could I think.

This mod is almost 4 GBs unzipped, it will take awile to load. If you have played it afew times, it won't take quite as long, but it still takes awile.

I always just browse the net or go off and do something else when this happens. Got to be patient man.

New version finally released! See the orginal post of this thread for details.

Revolution has been reenabled, and I've hidden and disabled game options that were causing the game to crash, so no more need for confusing game directions to play the mod. :goodjob:

Well done on the REV kiddo, do tell on what the problem was and how you managed to fix it.

I'll DL the new update on my next day off ( whenever that may be lol) and give it spin.

I'm back! And you guys have been busy. Downloading the new version now...

... only six minutes to download each part.

The problem was the dynamic civ names part of revolutions. I've been testing Rev without that on and it seems to be working fine.

Just a quick message to say I've been enjoying your mod since i found it. Quot Capita has always been one of my favourites and it's cool to see you're expanding on it.

Having a problem with the game crashing at the same point in a game I've got going. Few bits of info:

Turn: 860/2050
Age: Medieval
Scenario: 18 civs world

Not really expecting a solution but thought i'd give you a heads up. The game's been running smoothly but every time I try to push through to the next turn, everything just collapses. Anywho, hope you keep up the good work!

I've also had a CTD playing as Lincoln of America. I'm in the Classical era and was about to discover Improved Formations. I also had a couple CTDs on turn one playing as Adams of America.

I'm going to reload the game and see if it repeats at the same time.

EDIT: And it does. At turn 187/520. If it will help, I can post a save game from the turn prior to the crash.

EDIT: If I switch to a different tech, it still crashes, so it isn't related to Improved Formations. I'll keep investigating.

EDIT: So, the next thing I did was delete the English. The game continued without problem. So that's where we'll need to focus our attention for a solution. The English were several techs ahead of me.

i was england, playing on prince, in the standard 18 civs earth scenario. doing pretty damn well as well! few more settings:

mastery victory; barbarian civs on; revolution on. judging by a quick glance through your posts. i think this could be the culprit. might have to start again without revs on.

just loaded up and tried again. i'm learning optics and when i push through, it gets as far as completing a building in one of my cities and then just crashes.

not exactly tech savvy so not too sure of finer details. have tried to attach the save file for you. let me know if this works.

gonna start again without barbarian civs and revs on. will keep you updated. i like to play on odyssey though so it may be a while before i let you know if it crashes.
