OK, I have five turns left on Ank11 and will pick this up immediately afterwards.

I want to be verbose but this game’s in the bag.
We’re at war w/ the Maya.
Our population is happy w/ our 5 total luxuries, 1 imported.
We have nice forces but not overwhelming numbers.
Our army and MI in Mayan territory are both very beat up.
Superconductor is the last tech we need to finish parts and it’s set to come in three turns enabling us to build two SS parts.
A massive employment of scientists brings the research down to 2 turns.

IBT:
Plenty of WLTK days

Turn 1 – 1705 AD
All new builds are for cash or pre-builds for parts.

Turn 2 – 1710 AD
Superconductor’s in and Nuclear power’s next in 4 turns.

IBT: Internet has been built.

Turn 6 – 1730 AD
Researching Laser in 4 turns and setting up prebuilds.

Turn 10 – 1750 AD
Laser in and researching Robotics in 4 turns.
Pre-build switched to SS Party Lounge at the loss of a few shields.
There’s a pre-build in Pusan that will be more than enough sheilds for the Stasis Chamber.

Along the way we managed to raze two Mayan cities for kicks and kill off a number of ships. On the flip side of that I left some seriously injured ships out in the open along w/ our transports that got pinched.

Well, Misfit... it's your honor to push the button. Send us to the stars buddy.
A few cities are a bit miffed about the war so you might want to push entertainment to 10% just because you can.

Very nice job to all on the team! In retrospect, perhaps we should have done emporer. I must admit, that I'm now temporarily tired of Space wins. Anyone have opinions as to an R&L02? Perhaps a Dutch conquest, or a Zulu 100K (nah, too long). Maybe one of the capturing civs. What about variants?

Mistfit and myself are both on Xteam for SGOTM5. I've played them all except for SGOTM1.
 
I was on Team Bugsy for SGoTM 1-4, but am sitting this one out (as is Sir Bugsy) after we decided to split up. I am up for a go again in SGoTM6.
 
I've been on different teams for 3, 4, and 5. If you want to play in 6, I'll be glad to join your team as I obviously don't have a strong preference for any particular group so far. The Peanuts are nice, but I am one of their extra players for sgotm5 and don't think I'll be able to permanently join them.


What about a militaristic civ on a pangea in PTW (for leader farming) for an early 20K? For spice, could make it a AW or oscillating AW variant.

Is the SGOTM simply the GOTM played in SG format? I have not read anything, not that it isn't there, that clearly explains this.

My main goal with this experiment is to get into the nitty-gritty of the opening moves and strategy of the early games. Although I have been a part of many SG's I was not active in the early game and decision making process.

Anyway, I'm pumped about this.
 
You have missed the cut off for the current SGOTM. We have already started playing. It A new one will not start for another month and 1/2. Go over to the SGOTM forum and read the "stickies" at the top to find out about the SGOTM.
 
I think MB always uses a team member's name, but if not how about "theborg" (from your avatar) and our motto can be: resistance is futile. [in case you can't tell, I'm a trekkie, too]

I did some more reading and Mad-Bax PM'ed me w/ some claifications. I'll follow SGOTM05 in the threads and look forward to our game.
