I'm going to jump right up and say this.

You have said you got a max score at least once before, and I believe you. I'm pretty sure that if I went around in my circles of gamer friends saying "hey I know a guy who got a max score on Pac Man" I would inevitably find someone who would say that they too have run into such a person, or maybe even someone else I know has done it and just hasn't mentioned it before (personally, of course, I would have it tattooed on me somewhere if I had done it, maybe on my forehead, but I digress). But if I went around those same circles saying "I know a guy who came up ONE dot short of the final screen" I am almost absolutely certain the only response I would get would be "wow."

To be fair I've never had an actual maximum score, just the maximum possible score you can get on the online league table, which isn't the same thing for reasons probably too boring to go into here. That was a tricky thing to manage in and of itself, but not on the same level as a true maximum score and I doubt I'll ever manage that.

This is pretty stupid but I've been using bike gears incorrectly for at least 3 years. I may have done this my whole life but there was a decade where I basically didn't ride and I don't remember how I used the gears before then.

But yeah, I'd use the high gears to climb hills and the low gears on flats.

Now I'll be able to spot you easily if we ever met across a street...

Work is being especially annoying. They gave me a task to do but nobody else on my team knows how to do it so they dumped on me and basically said "you figure it out". Of course I don't know how to do it either so I'm just flailing about hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.

Crummy day. Blustery snow when walking to work, some stuff going on at work (company wide, my job is secure), bus driver took a wrong turn going home and got stuck in traffic for 20 minutes, and the snowplow came through and filled the sidewalk with slippery, loose, plowed snow which made walking a pain.
Oh, and the freaking landslide of the Tory Scum in the UK.

Rant: A bit of niche software I use has gone the crippleware route. Went back to an older version but it keeps phoning home and nagging me to update every time I launch it.

I got it to shut up by blocking it with Windows Firewall but this isn't ideal. Can't find any real alternative for it though.

I also have a weird blister-rash on my neck. It feels like fire. I'm not sure where it came from but it hurts.
