Actually, that is another gripe of mine. It is NOT the "fast lane". The government did not put that there for speeders. If traffic dictates that it is necessary to use that lane, so be it, I'll be over there going the speed limit. Anybody behind me have a problem with that and going to tailgate? Prepare for braking, hard, in front of you.

Certainly in the UK the SLOW lane of a motorway, people drive at the limit. The other two lanes are faster and uniformly above the limit.

You don't know me too well. Believe me when I tell you, I do indeed do that. When I had an Escort ZX/2, I would damned near stand on my break even if it was an F-250 Super Duty riding on my bumper. I assure you, they back off.

Besides, I am upside down on my Taurus, have GAP insurance, and always wear my seat belt. As long as I have no other passengers, why not crash my car on principle? Besides, it would not be me crashing it, it would be the vehicle behind me not maintaining proper braking distance.

And hey, if you can show me the law that says the left lane is really for speeding above the standard stated limit, I will acknowledge my error and cease such behavior.

Well now wait a sec. I don't get over in the left lane just for shits and giggles. I stay in the right lane if possible. But when coming up on an access ramp, I get over to allow for the incoming vehicles to merge more easily. Other reasons to go left as well. I am not going to exceed the speed limit just to humor some dillweed in a Honda Tercel going 80.

If only; I'm so poor atm I get charity from bums. Needs must when the Devil drives. Sad really five months ago I was working permanently but how soon the money dries especially around Christmas, and when you're working intermittently if at all.
