Random Rants IX: I'm Mad As Hell, And I'm Not Gonna Take It Anymore!

Well, you do live in England.

I'm fed up of people who I don't even know bullying me in the streets. I don't even want to leave my house now, especially at night. There are too many bigotted, drunken chavs around. I've dropped out of school now, partly because of people like this.

I'm glad you mention this. I thought I was the only one recieving nasty looks off people who I don't know when walking past (usually on my own.) The majority of abuse normally comes from girls, either laughing/smirking at me or deliberately walking into me. Perhaps they just cannot wait for their next fix of cocaine or whatever, but what happened to the decency in society? If you have nothing nice to say/do, don't do anything.

Usually I find it's young blokes in cars. Or on foot, when they emerge at night to go to the pub, which I have to walk past to go to the bank, pizza shop, barbers etc. If I go in the other direction, to go to Tescos, they are all loitering around the bottom of some nasty concrete tower blocks.

I've complained about this before on the forum, I opened a thread about it, but now it seems to have got much worse now.

geez, England sounds like a nasty place...

It really depends on your location. In the centre of towns you can get some real scum bags hanging around, especially at night, but they are best left to themselves. Elsewhere, there is little to no problem. If you live in the suburbs you will not really find any trouble. Even the suburbs of the 'worst place in the country' Middlesbrough (where I live) are pretty nice areas, and I wouldn't want to be elsewhere.

I live in the suburbs, but it is a nasty part of the suburbs. There is an inner city-type area near me, but right on the edge of Nottingham. It is based on the old railway tracks, there used to be some major sidings in the area.

learning to shoot is a heck of alot eaiser

Geez that sounds bad, I've been to england I don't remember any of that.

If you learn Martial Arts you don't need to pack... Maybe a knife at most.

Friday's exam sucked. Only hope is that everyone else in the class did poorly enough that the professor scales the points down again in order to lift everybody's grades, like last time.
And I have a presentation Tuesday, but there's a tech issue with that (2007 powerpoint on a classroom comp that has 2003), and that professor still has yet to answer my e-mails about it.
