Random Rants Two

Feels like the longer I go on, the further I fall behind. I'll probably end up starting out with a job that pales to what some people can get after graduating this year. I'll be in tons of debt. And expenses will only climb, even if I move.

And I don't need those commercials from TD Waterhouse referencing some couple that "had student debt and finished graduate school at age 30 then started a family" as people that were left behind, before making a point about how wonderful life can be at age 55 after coming from behind like that. Since that's where I'll be, it seems. And I still have 20 years of life to make up.

Crap....

My girlfriend broke up with me. Apparently she has better things to do and would rather be with her friends than me in her free time (she said it nicer than this). This was all in an email by the way.

I was supposed to see her next Monday, but that was dashed like so much before it. I was going to give her a birthday present, at least I get to withhold that and save my precious money, though I already got a card. Luckily I can recycle that and give it someone else.

I replied somewhat saddened and wished her luck. It must be nice to have university applications to do without having to worry about how to pay for it because your rich daddy will.

There is however a silver lining

Wait, so is it a rant or a rave? Why post the same thing in both threads?

It has elements of both and I wanted to be creative. :crazyeye:

If mods don't like it I can merge it into rants.

I hear you. I'd like to get out of Fort Wayne, but where are we going to go with no savings? I'd like to go back to school, but I can't pay for it (already have ~$10,000 in student loan debt). The money I'd save to go back to school instead goes to essentials like food, gas, rent. Such is life, I guess. I just hope my wife and I can get out of here some day.

That hits home. Do what I did, save a bit, buy some land, and at least you'll know you have SOMEWHERE to call your own regardless. I have 16 acres of forest in Tennessee that cost a lousy 50k, and the taxes are $160 a year, and just knowing it's there is the best security blanket I could wish for. Now all I have to do is earn enough to be able to keep it all.

My ex girlfriend seems to have cut off all ties to me. Even though nobody did anything wrong and she just didn't have time.

I'm 80% sure that I've been replaced. Women need to get patched and fast, they are so buggy.

If I see another persons Myspace/Facebook/Youtube whatever that says in the books section something along the lines of "eww books(real)" "I hate books" or "I CAN'T RAD LOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO" "Look isn't my illiteracy so cool and attractive!!!!!!!!!!!111!!" I will head to the next shopping mall and go straight into the Hot Topic and Hollister stores and go on a rampage. Seriously, I can understand not liking reading or not wanting to but thinking reading is somehow stupid or bad is the epitome of asininity. Where's natural selection when you need it.

Natural selection will come when they're 32 and struggling to remember the lines for working as a McDonald's cashier.

I cant stand it when peole confuse personal preference with open or closed mindedness. If I say I dont like something it does not mean Im close minded, it means I prefer something else over it. If I say, I will not even attempt to enjoy or expieranment with said thing, then Im close minded.
