I would assume not, but it doesn't seem to have deterred certain posters.

EDIT: Wait, this is a spam message, better add some content before the government sees me!

Did you know that the tallest cliffs in the world are the Trango Towers, Pakistan?

RAVE: This was a really relaxing day for me. I listened to Car Talk, which was great as always (especially this week's puzzler). Then I went outside to enjoy the beautiful day, followed by a tasty lunch. Hope it keeps up.

If anyone is interested in hearing it, this is this week's Car Talk puzzler:

Spoiler :
"A hundred prisoners are each locked in a room with three pirates, one of whom will walk the plank in the morning. Each prisoner has 10 bottles of wine, one of which has been poisoned; and each pirate has 12 coins, one of which is counterfeit and weighs either more or less than a genuine coin. In the room is a single switch, which the prisoner may either leave as it is, or flip. Before being led into the rooms, the prisoners are all made to wear either a red hat or a blue hat; they can see all the other prisoners' hats, but not their own. Meanwhile, a six-digit prime number of monkeys multiply until their digits reverse, then all have to get across a river using a canoe that can hold at most two monkeys at a time. But half the monkeys always lie and the other half always tell the truth. Given that the Nth prisoner knows that one of the monkeys doesn't know that a pirate doesn't know the product of two numbers between 1 and 100 without knowing that the N+1th prisoner has flipped the switch in his room or not after having determined which bottle of wine was poisoned and what colour his hat is, what is the solution to this puzzle?"

The question itself provides more enjoyment than solving it ever could.

I just had an amazing weekend! :D

Is spamming allowed in this thread? Provided its funny spam?

No, spam goes in the NES forum, or H&J.

Rave: I was given a gift that I will not be able to put to ideal use, because of circumstances, but I am still very happy to have. :)

Disregard this reply. She's just jealous anyways :p

It's been good to spend time with the relatives. Living close to family is a refreshing change :)

This rave goes out to Philippe. Some days are worse than others, and it is sometimes easy to forget there are human beings on the other end of these typed out messages we enter here on the forums. Thanks to philippe, I am reminded of that little fact and by extension reminded that I need to make sure my posts are not hurtful to my fellow posters on the other end.

Hats off to ya, Philippe. :hatsoff:

I'm finally done my AP Bio essay, and AP Bio classes have started (I like the teacher alot, he's really good and teaches REALLY well so you can understand it easily)

Spamming goes in OT. You all know it. RAVE: I slept for 10 hours in a night for the first time in recent memory.

I love my speech and music theory professors. Those are two classes I'm going to thoroughly enjoy, and I get four semesters of music theory with the same professor!

Oh man, college is so much better than high school in so many more ways than one.

Everyone's so much nicer and more friendly. It's quite refreshing. :)

And I've been offered an internship/tech training at CVS for pharmacy, which is awesome! My grandfather, like the amazingly kind and thoughtful person he is, went in and talked to the pharmacists/managers while I was at school so all I have to do is pick my starting date now, and I'm set.

I don't know why I didn't move up here sooner. I was offered the chance while in high school, but I didn't even consider it because I had a reason to stay where I was.

The love of being here and the happiness that associates with it just never seems to wear off. The everlasting rave! (that only lasts two years, unless I decide to take advantage of it becoming a 4 year institution and then hit the pharmacy school they're building 20 minutes away from home! :D)

My college is talking about closing down the school Tuesday/Wednesday 'cause of Gustav. By the looks of it, it's going to hit here pretty hard if it by some chance continues on the path it's going now. My parents are coming up here this weekend and leaving Monday and my grandfather was talking about following them back to their house for the hurricane.

All I know is, as long as my A&P quiz and sight singing/aural skills test are postponed, I'm perfectly happy.

Aural skills? Where do you go? Hogwarts? :crazyeye:

do they not teach you the difference between aural and oral at your school?

The only difference I know between those words is that people from Boston say "aural" and people from New York say "oral". I've made it this far.

aural is pertaining to the ear/listening, oral is pertaining to the mouth/speaking.

ie in my french class we used to have a written exam, an oral exam (speaking), and an aural exam where we would listen to a story and answer questions on it.
