Long time no see, my favorite thread. Anyways, I was checking out the lineup for Virgin Music Festival August 8th-9th in Baltimore, MD.

We're altering schedules at work. I am going to now typically have 2 days off a week! Hoorah 50-55 hours weeks, goodbye 60-65 hour weeks!!

Well, it's a family thing. Sometimes I am busy as hell, sometimes bored as hell. But busy or bored, I still have to be there.

I was royally angry/disappointed when my first option for a moving company had the day I needed to be moved full. So I went back and sent out a few more requests for estimates. Got a call back very quickly from another company, got the estimate and scheduled the move! As a bonus to this situation, the estimate is a bit less than the one I had from the first place!

AND that is with me including more items that I forgot when making the estimate with that first company!

60-65 hour weeks? I guess that's 6 days a week, 10+ hours a day at work.

Heh, I used to have a 70-80 hour work week, not counting another ~20 hours per week in commuting time. Thank God that was just a few months long.

I suspect the estimate will be a bit higher, since I have no real idea how many boxes I'll end up with (I did estimate 20, could be closer to 25) and there will likely be an item or two I did miss. But on the plus side, I won't have to worry about trying to wrap the LCD TV or any of the few appliances/larger furniture I have. Though, thankfully, that's a fairly small portion of my total stash.

When I pulled into my driveway I smelled lilacs.

When I got out of my car the lilac smell was even stronger.

Man, I love lilacs! In a few days I'll be able to chop some and make my kitchen, my bathroom, my bedroom, and my office all smell like wonderful lilacs.
