Rat - 05 silent game

Persia definitely has Cavalry I have seen some. I think we should spend some time upgrading any knights and the Treb as well before we do running zero science. With incoming Cavalry and probably defense of Rifles, it will not be an easy fight. The Granaries should be switched to Cav when we get Mil Trad - The Granaries were intended as place holders for this. Upgrading pikes and considering walls (or growing past size 6) in key cities would also help.

Notes:
Military stack is outside of Pasargadae (Smith), from there we can attack Persepolis (GL, plus others)
Remember that Hwach'a can kill so use them in the attack force

nice progress,

the moment has come and we shall see, whether our attack against Persia will be successful. At the very least, we need to get to GL and hold it for a turn, but of course we should take out Persia as a whole.

Forgot to mention that Pasargadae had a vet rifle on top, therefore, they don't have rubber or they haven't researched it yet

save

Pre-Turn
the Persian mainland has 9 cities, if we can take them out fast, then we have a chance
increase lux to 10% so we can fire some clowns and specialists
but we need more defenders to counter the expected Cav attacks, need to wait a few turns

1. 1060AD
war preparation

2. 1070AD
zzzz

3. 1080AD
time to attack, capture 2 settlers and move all units to Pasergadea

IT a Persian rifle is approaching our land, maybe can use it to declare

4. 1090AD

IT there are suddenly 5 Incan Cavs in the north, we better monitor them

5. 1100AD
send our units up north to counter that sneak attack looming

IT its looks as if the Incans are serious, we better get all forces north and counter
rat051050.jpg

6. 1110AD
ask Incans to remove their forces and they declare war, maybe we can gain armies from that wa for the Persian war
defeat a stack of 8 but lose 1 Cav

IT more Cavs are pouring in

7. 1120AD
defeat all 3 intruders

8. 1130AD
defeat another 8 Cavs

IT more cavs coming, lucky our arty is now in position, lose 1 Cav on defense

9. 1140AD
use UU to attack and
rat051140.jpg

defeat all intruders, MM for GA so that we can then attack Persia with a mighty force

10. 1650AD
we now have 11 cavs and 3 armies, I would send 1 army north to that Incan city, guess they have burned all their units
they lost more than 20 Cavs

we need to attack Persia soon, but I was not able to do so since we got sneak attacked

I have 2 pictures, but there is something wrong with the database, thats why I attached the save this way. I will upload the pictures once it works again

ok, worked already, pictures are up. Be careful, there might be more units coming from the north. We might have to hurt them first before they come begging for peace.

I don't think that it is this game as we don't have a Barcelona.
I like the G.A. Massive military and infra push, then going and dusting Persia.

Agree with your assessment Romeo.

Good point on the bomber comment. I suspect that was from the other game. I have seriously mis-estimated where the AI should be if they have bombers.

Infantry though are getting close to a real threat. I am hoping we can take on Persia before that happens.

no bombers of course, I am getting senile using wrong comments from other games

anyway, I have seen no infantry so far, Persia has rifles. Agree with infra push and military overload to get Persia. it would be nice if we can bag some leaders from the war against Incans, we still have the Mil Academy and pentagon to rush.

Preflight check: Rush court in Medina, cav in Hyangsan, shortrush cav in Wonson via musket

IBT: Inca approach with a rifle and crusader
Seoul cav -> cav; Medina court -> cav; Wonson cav -> cav; Pusan cav -> cav; Nampo cav -> cav; Cheju market -> cav; Hyangsan cav -> cav; Inchon rax -> cav

T1: 1160AD nada

IBT: 6 More Inca cav show up, as well as 9 French ones.
Pyongyang cav -. Cav; Basra cav -> ‘duct

T2 1170AD Ask France to leave or declare, and they declare  Kill 8 French cav and retreat 1, leaving a 3/5* MDI exposed.

IBT: France signs the Hittites in against us.
Seoul, Wonson, Pusan cav -> cav, Der (our faraway city) riots

T3: 1180AD Kill Incan rifle, crusader, and 6 cav’s near Pusan, lose nothing though the MDI army is beatup (7/14). Kill crusader near Hyangsang, gain eCav

IBT: Mecca musket -> musket; Medina flips to the Persians; Pyongyang cav -> cav; Damascus court -> musket; Khurasan court -> rax

T4: 1190AD Kill 3 Inca Cav’s in Indian territory (S of Ganges). Had to do this, otherwise they had a shot at Hyangsang or Pusan.

IBT: Persia and Inca sign trade embargo against us; kill a French cav defending the Iron mountain N of Hyangsang
Wonson cav -> cav; Pusan cav -> cav; Kufah Hwacha -> Hwacha; Taejon rax -> musket; Pyongsang cav -> cav

T5: 1200AD Position Armies to block incoming Cav’s. Must stop here as I need to get up early tomorrow and won’t have much time later this week. Unfortunately, we are no closer to attacking Persia, and are, in fact, further away. Only good news is that we went from 11 cav’s to 25 during my set.

Also, I’ve sent a musket, a few cav’s, and a couple Hwacha over to our saltpeter town. We should thing about rushing some culture there in a couple of turns to prevent it from flipping. The towns between it an our core could use reinforcements as well.

bummer, thought we could attack Persia and net the GL and now this. Hope we can grab the GL before we face infantry.

Looks decent.
If we have already eaten through their cavs, if Persia buys them in, they can't do that much against us.
I will also be traveling from Friday (the 2nd) to Tuesday (The 6th)

1200: all good

IBT: Sumer offers WM trade, can't get anything decent off them
Kill 2 incan cav, lose a cav

1210: Kill Incan Cav (3-1)

1220: Kill 6 incan cav, 1 french cav, 1 incan crusader, 1 french bow & 1 french warrior (12-1)

IBT: Kill incan cav, lose 2 cav

1230: Kill 8 incan cav, lose cav, MDI (21-5) Get 2 leaders out of it, 1 goes to a cav army, the other to rush pentagon

IBT: Kill incan cav, lose cav, sword army (22-7)

1240: Kill 3 incan cav, 2 incan rifle, lose cav (27-8)

IBT: France talks, give them 160 gold for peace

1250: Build Pentagon, suffer a lot of rioting due to loss of French war happiness

Kill 4 incan cav, 1 incan rifle, lose cav (32-9)

No sign of the hittites, but the incas keep pouring cavalry in. I only played 5 turns, as I am really short on time.
