Some good news a leader is created, we need 1 more city for another army
Notice some more bad news though, see 2 Persian cav south of Wonsan

Notes:
Didn't lose any cities
Almost tempted to make a filler city in the game between Wonsan and Inch'on just so we can make an army
The next army should have Knights
Persia send cav, knights, MI and Immortals from the south
Sumer sent about 20 MI from the east all on 1 turn, a few still exist
Hittites are just about to attack from the north
Got some walls in some of the boarder cities so don't be afraid to let them attack
 
I think we all underestimated this game as it turns into an ugly AW game which we treated as semi AW only. Persia keeps on buying allies. Hope we can stay alive...

I was wonder this same thing watching this game. I thought this game should have been played as a pure AW game. It hasn't feel that way at all.

LK, I agree with you here and I remember a few rounds back I made this comment:
looking at the stats, we have 2 spears and 4 warriors with 4 cities? Are we trying to suicide ourselves?
I have lost Rat 3/4 due to careless playing and don't want to repeat the same here. We need to treat this as AW and thus walls, rax and mil have highest priority.
seems everyone was thinking I would be joking then

we are at war with 5/7 nations, for 11 towns we have 13 defenders, spear and pike against Cav, that should be good fun
MM to get Seoul and Pusan to 10spt (Seoul was at 5spt???)

this is a real lucky break we get, adjust science so we won't go bankrupt in the IT

1. 460AD
defeat 4 Sumer units

2. 470AD
defeat another 2 Sumer units and move settler into position

IT defeat 2 units on defense

3. 480AD
form Pyongsong, defeat 1 Arab unit
build 3rd army to be filled with knights later on

IT beat 2 Arab LB's on defense

4. 490AD
defeat 2 units

5. 500AD
defeat 3 units, but too many units are pouring into our territory

IT Incan have many units in our land

6. 510AD
defeat 2 units

IT lose pike on defense and kill one unit

7. 520AD
finally fill knight army with 2 units

IT lose another pike on defense, Incan simply pour too many units into opur land

8. 530AD
not enough units to deal with the incoming units

9. 540AD
no peace deals, this is very tough to handle
kill a few more units

IT quite a few Sumer knights show up

10. 550AD
kill more units, hopefully the AI will talk soon
we will get invention next turn

What do you all think of the idea of adding military alliances in our deals? One problem we have is that everyone is fighting us rather than each other. We can make alliances, IIRC, but cannot initiate them. If we got AI's fighting the AI next to it, it would go a long way to making this less of an AW game.
 
We can only make alliances with those that we have a diplomat with and we can't create those either.
 
I was actually contemplating to ask Persia for alliances, but that would get us into war mode for at least 20 turns. We cant talk and we would not be able to make peace after 20 turns that easily. Also, we chose to get republic and WW would kill us that way. As long as the AI declares on us, WW will be low.
We should have taking monarchy, I think if we lose this game, if we play another game we simply need to treat it as AW with monarchy and military might

This choice was one of the reason that I questioned why this game wasn't being played as AW.

It is a silent game, thus no *****ing from me. :mischief:
Complaining about RnG is kinda like complaining about bad draws in poker. Yeah they happen, but the reason that they happen and that they hurt is that you were playing right. The random factor just kinda trumps in every now and again.
Plus we have 3 armies, and lots of other troops, so I think we are doing fine.

I'm sure they'll be very tough, looks like fun :) btw, I'll definitely need till at least Saturday night as the mrs. owns me on Friday night.
