The ratha is correctly propertioned to the human figure (paper doll). You've done a good job of leaving room for both the charioteer & the archer - lots of possibilities for the animations.


Suggestions:

• Wood texture on body could be a little darker. It's okay if it's different than the wheels but I'm worried it's going to look too orange at game scale.
• The "arya wings" ought to be civ-color.

Other than those two minor points this is looking very good. Keep up the good work.

A separate thought: If the horses are smaller they'd be closer to the proper proportion for a four horse version - as the contemporary texts describe it. Two more horses undoubtedly make the animating process more complex - but would they make it unfeasibly so?

But you need to have poser to use it. The horse file in not actually in the download, its just a set up file to use Poser's horse ready to be rendered at civ scale.

IIRC it's the poser horse in the file Takhisis is using, so making the adjustment should be straightforward.

Also, if you want two extra horses I have to modify the yoke.

An alternative would be to use trappings to indicate they're tethered together. But you two know best.

Would the simplest way be to copy the part of the yoke that covers their back & place it to either side?

Makes a major difference what the animator is willing to work with - four horses sounds like a lot of animation work. tom2050 made a 4-horse stagecoach so he would know how much work is involved. And it makes a difference how much more work you want to devote to modelling. Do what you think best.

No, if you have Poser you should already have a horse if you installed the full content. What the file does is tweak the horse to look fatter and make it easier to turn it into a unit. It may be set up with paperdoll already riding, but I don't remember.

I think the colour difference between the chariot body and the wheels/axle is too great, the body looks almost golden and the wheels too coarse.

i really like it and though this horses are better than those imperator uses, i would still suggest the oher horse type that fits into the collection - the horses used by imperator....

...which is probably the horse used by Sandris, which is a modified version (by Utahjazz) of the Poser 5 horse, if I'm not mistaken.
From the preview shown by Tom, the lighting is wrong (the shadows show that the "sun" is at its zenith), and the chariot looks a bit flat. Maybe add a few details to the chariot's structure or add some textures to it... or just changing the light position would help.
