RawSasquatch/Kramer's New Civilizations

Minor note, you should replace Algiers (which is just a suburb of New Orleans) with say, Charlotte, which wasn't as important as it was after the Civil War, but still existed and had a reputation for having loads of churches for its size.

Otherwise yeah, this is pretty cool, enough to convince me to actually play as the Confederacy of all people ^^;

It seems to work fine for me. Any specifics? Are they not spawning in their proper location on a certain map? Are they not showing up in the selection list at all? If not, are any other civs missing? YnAEMP seems to be a bit finnicky when you have a lot of civs installed.

Is the new CSA compatible with ExCE?

I didn't specifically add ExCE support, but I'm sure the game will at least function with both mods enabled, so no and yes.

Anyhow, let us talk about Texan E&D support; the only thing standing in the way of Texas v3. How do these sound?

Place A Bounty on an Outlaw
An infamous criminal in our society, wanted dead or alive to face judgement for their crimes, has continuously evaded capture by law enforcement, and potential vigilantes are unmotivated to pursue him. Placing an official bounty of Gold on the criminal's hide will encourage more men to join our hunt.

Requirements: Player must be Texas, May not be enacted in Ancient Era, may only be enacted once per era

Costs: 500 Gold (increases by 100 per era)

Rewards: Receive a free Mounted Unit, A dangerous Barbarian Outlaw appears in your territory and will wreak havoc until it is killed, Player who kills the Outlaw will receive a unique bonus that increases with era

Stabilize the Oil Industry

An enormous amount of Oil has been discovered beneath our lands, and our people are so caught up in the 'Oil Boom' that they are extracting oil at an absurd and unsustainable rate. We must intervene to secure the longevity of the oil fields.

Requirements:
Player must be Texas, Player must have discovered Biology, May only be enacted once per game

Costs: 1000 Gold, 100 Culture, 1 Magistrate

Rewards: All land-based sources of Oil in your territory are instantly improved, +2 Production from Oil Wells

And the details behind the Bounty decision:
Spoiler :
The combat strength and other stats of the Outlaw would also increase with each era, making it continuously more difficult to catch and kill them. Ideally, whenever an Outlaw is killed, a little pop-up with the reward details would appear, complimented by this audio bite, even if it is a bit more Bolivian than Texan.

Classical Era: Free Horseman. Reward: 3 turns' worth of Culture for killing Bill Longley.
Medieval Era: Free Knight. Reward: 3 turns of Culture for killing Sam Bass.
Renaissance Era: Free Lancer. Reward: 3 turns of Culture and 250 Golden Age points for killing Jessie Evans.
Industrial Era: Free Ranger. Reward: 4 turns of Culture and 250 Golden Age points for killing Jim Miller.
Modern Era: Free Ranger. Reward: 4 turns of Culture, 250 Golden Age points, and a free Great Work of Writing for killing John Wesley Hardin.
Atomic Era: Free Ranger. Reward: 4 turns of Culture, 500 Golden Age points, and a free Great Work of Art for killing Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Information Era: Free Ranger. Reward: 4 turns of Culture, 500 Golden Age points, and a free Great Work of Music for killing Bonnie and Clyde.

Writing: The Life of John Wesley Hardin, by John Wesley Hardin. "A bullet to the front of the head demonstrates good marksmanship. A bullet to the back of the head demonstrates good judgement."
Art: Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid (poster), by Tom Beauvais
Music: A Day in the Life of Bonnie and Clyde, by Mel Torme

Jessie Evans? This name is frankly familiar...

Also: but... but why Civfanatics can't into ExCE????

I'm playing a game as the CSA. After I made all the terrain improvements I wanted, I decided to automate my workers. Despite having "Workers do not change existing Improvements" checked off in the Options menu, my workers still changed the Antebellum Manors into Plantations anyway. Maybe they were "Union" workers

Those Decisions are AWESOME!

But what's with Jessie Evans?!

@Rawsasquatch

Noticed you intend to add E&D support for Texas. I appreciate that it is both difficult to code and come up with ideas, but you've got one fan here that would love it if you have the ambition for the Boers and Rhodesia too? Either way, great work and no pressure.

CSA superawesome. Must compliment you on the icon for the Sharpshooter. I really like it.

Bhutan is one of my most anticipated civs by the way. Your stuff rock. :)

You mean Promotion saving.

Updated the CSA: Slightly increased the Sharpshooter's strength (from 28 to 30), removed the ability to build Manors on Silk and substituted it with Sugar for historical accuracy, "fixed" TSL support for users with YnAEMP v22 (moved the v23 map coords to a separate file), and added support for ExCE. The CSA and America can now spawn as rebel civilizations from one another, and Texas from the CSA, if all those mods are active. I don't use ExCE, so I didn't really test it out or know how it works.

One day, Yucatan can into can.
