RBC - 14D Conquistadores!

– 9 treasures arrive in Europe, I returned some and then realised we would win this turn if all are returned, so I decided to keep 4 out of the capital and see if there is anything else I can do interesting in my turns. Attacking the Inca’s further wouldn’t be possible for a while as there aren’t any spare troops in the New World. I decide instead to just try and get a lot more of our treasures back to Europe, we have huge numbers of them sitting in cities ready to go, but no units to carry them.

– A stack of 7 Inca MI’s and Q Bowmen are just outside San Diego, the city looks to be in trouble. Near Ica another Incan MI attacks some workers and captures them. 4 Treasures are loaded onto a ship near Panama and sent back and another ship leaves Europe to go pick up treasures.

– A Conquistador kills the Inca MI near Ica. Another Conquistador in San Diego kills one of the stack near there then retreats home again. Another 4 treasures arrive in Oporto so we now have 8 ready to return and 34,220 VP’s.

– Our Conquistador near Ica is killed by an Incan Spearman and 3 Incan bowmen arrive outside that city which is defended by only a MI, they capture a stack of workers. Near SanDiego more Incan bowmen also turn. I decide to make peace with the Inca and they agree, giving us 17 gold (all they have) and a world map.

– 2 more Treasures arrive in Oporto and more are loaded onto ships to return. France has been returning quite a few treasures but still only have 10,000 VP’s.

– Get more treasures loaded onto ships for Europe. We lose a Man-O-War and a Frigate to pirates.

– 98 Quiet turns, waiting for treasures to arrive in Europe.

– Had 27 treasures in Oporto and returned them all. This put our VP’s at 61,475 and meant the game was won at the end of the turn.

Nice finish. Great game guys. It was a lot of fun.
