Reading to posting ratio?

I want to know how many threads you read compared to how many posts you make.

For example, I may read about 3 or 4 threads per post I make.

I want to do this to see if people read more than they post, or if they post in nearly all the threads they read.

Note to mods: Please don't move this to OT - the posting behaviour of the average OT person is not what I am looking for (there is is almost certainly a much higher spam, er, post ratio there...)

11+ reads per post. I kind of glance at most threads in the forums I use but only reply in few. But then those I do reply in I may post multiple times.

I've been lurking for more than a year - often spending 6 hours a day here but am still not up to 300 posts. That makes me the ultimate lurker I guess.

I post a lot But read more threads than I post in. I'm quite a lurker in the SG section and don't feel like posting there all of the time. Except when I'm playing in them

Generally read about 9-10 threads per post. Most of the "read and don't post" threads are SGs where I do not want to threadjack. Threads were I post quickly are the tips and discussion threads where I can immediately answer someone's question.

I will usually read a thread as long as it is not to long and the posts are not to long. So I will usually read maybe 6 threads a post.

I read a LOT more than I post -- at least 20+ threads/post. There's just not much to add to many discussions, often I read SGs without posting, or whatever.

I tend to follow a lot of discussions/SGs without posting in them/participating....
On the other hand, considering the postcount I have, I'm not sure if you all really believe this...
I think the Sports talk forum really "helped" me in that area.

I read a lot 11+ threads. If I had regularlly posted, I would have thousands of posts, but I find that post counts don't matter, and I don't like spam so....

I too read a lot more than I post. I even read the OT threads, very interesting and informative on the polical issues, so I voted 20+. The first year I've only read, never posted. It was last seasons tourny that lured me out of the woods.

I'm the sole 5-6 threads per post right now. I used to lurk much more - read many threads, post a little. Now that I'm a mod, I find I'm reading even more threads, but I'm posting more, too, if only [color=600f0f]Moderator Action:[/color] stuff.

I usually come by the board at least once a day, read all the new posts. Then if I find one that interests me enough I will post in it. But on average I read about 25-30 threads before I post.

I think I read about 3 threads per post.

I revisit every thread I have posted in/subscribed to after new post have been made, and I excluded these revisited threads from the mentioned ratio.

I'm really astonished that 20+ threads read get an actual rate of 38%.
That's a lot, if I assume that threads and posts are different things.
I think some voter might have confused that.
Now if I my guessing was wrong, then people would actually read this post and could prove me wrong. [or maybe make a correction post]

Btw, I would estimate that the actually displayed number of threads hit is between 1:10 and 1:20 here in Civ3. Of course, hit doesn't mean that they got read...

I voted 9-10. I was a LONG time lurker and I had trouble with my account (I think from a switch over of the forum accounts a long time ago--not sure though). But finally I emailed Thunderfall who fixed me up. Thanks TF!!! So, now I read quite a bit, but don't post that often. I will help out when I can though. Hey where is that James_Derrin guy. He would be a Spam king. He had like 49 posts in his first day.
