Realpolitik CIV - An Interactive AAR

Yes, leave it alone.

Actually i was more focused on not being a fugitive, but i needed something better than that to give up opposition actions. And technically i can still use them, but only if all more 'civil' options are exhausted. And its getting pretty close to that point in foriegn affairs.

Sigh . . . do I have to do this?

Arya - all "civil options" are those that lead to you getting your way, it looks to me:dubious:. You are alienating a lot of people in the thread and I'm starting to get a little irritated at the continuous infighting(that goes for both sides). From my perspective it looks as though you want to be president again, but your sabotage spree made that practically impossible. So now you want to be a power-behind-the-big-chair guy who actually runs the country.

Copperhead mentality:

- Ravus nailed it except for a few points:
- The Copperheads believe that this war is England's fault and we deserve punishment for that.
- They specifically blame arya(bear with me here).
- As it was under arya's administration that the war began, and he advocated and still advocates a closed doors policy, they think that Rome went off the deep end because of England's arrogance and we should make peace with Rome and become their client state as "unlike arya, Caesar is a wise leader".
- They also only remember Whosit for the loss of Ravus-York, not anything else he's done.
- In short, the Tea Partiers and the Westboro Baptist Church put together:crazyeye:
- Oh, and they are led by a council of five. There is a shady leader of this council, but no one has even found out his name.:p

Well being president would be nice, but i KNOW that wouldnt happen. Also, if i tried to make whosit or anyone else a figurehead, then i must be crazy. Which im not. Yet.

But i am giving my opinion, and i dont think there is actual infighting. Maybe what happened with whosit, but i still think he took it too personally. I will tone it down, but i dont see what you mean by infighting:confused:. Its kinda been like this since MN was opposition leader...

Copperheads just made this a little too personal. Stay tuned.

After that, the bulk of our forces should move through central Europe (Neapolis, Cumae) before heading south-east towards Balkans--is that Mediolanum or whatever I can see east of Setia?),

Allthough most people are against this, I support this plan. We create a buffer state between Rome and Russia, making it harder for Russia to move on key Roman cities. However I only support this if our power is greater then Romes (Can we verify that, LH).

Also my request on foreign policy once this war is over. Create a billion Missionaries. our next great prophet will give us the church of nativity (Ravus of Stonehenge???) and then each missionary gives us 1 gpt(as soon as they spread Christianity), In most of my game I never leave 100% science as I never need to. I get a world wonder in one of my cities that is giving me 35+ gold per turn. Then we slowly covert the who world to Christianity, and every civilization that is Christian will be please with us, so we sign open border, etc. There is no downside to it. Once the war is over we stop building military units, and start building missionaries. That way we don't have to do binary research, we just leave the ticker at 100% science/90% science 10% ep.

The internet where I am is to slow to use the chat room :( (so its time to spam the forum ;) jks)

Edit: Changed a swear word to slow.
Moderator Action: "Slow" would be a better choice of words. We have rules about swearing (Don't!). Thanks.

I got restricted from chat

Okay. And equal priority on germnay and italy. If russia aproches, shift extra attention to germany. Otherwise, we want both as soon as we can, and as soon as my troop standards are met.

Occurrences of the turnset:

- The Vikings have ended their war with Rome.
- The Roman Draft has raised a lot of men to fight against Russia, and Arretium has been reclaimed.
- We traded Construction to the Irish for Horseback Riding.
- One of the Roman triremes has been sunk.
- We have a new Great General, Alexander Armitage.
- There has been a slave riot in Liverpool - Whosit, whatis our response?
- arya126 left his command in Holland and went England to hunt down the Copperhead leaders - his command was attacked in the interim outside the protective walls of Amsterdam and destroyed.

- The turnset isn't over yet, but I need the answer on the slave revolt.

London

John Gambol and Eric Macferzhan stared grimly at each other. The two of them were the only living Copperhead leaders in the entirety of the British Empire. Even their boss had vanished. All three of their compatriots had been found, murdered by General Arya over the course of three days. One every night. The two survivors wondered if they would be next. Each one suspect the other of being a traitor to the cause, and were meeting in an attempt to sooth their suspicions. However, no one had said anything yet.

Without indicator or apparent cause the door slammed open. Then a human figure entered the room. He was tall, but in the low light the two men couldn't make him out well beyond that.

"Who is it?" John demanded.

"It's your future." The man laughed. It was a chilling sound, promising misery and pain in its every note. "Look at yourselves! Marcus, your boss - he's gone. Caesar's about to cut you guys loose. Toss you to arya and Whosit. Marcus is taking his command back and heading for Switzerland. Four months ago you could riot at a military funeral and the government wouldn't even clap you in irons. You even had riot police rioting with you! Now you're cowering in a stingy warehouse because of one general with a vendetta? Hahahaha!"

"What are you suggesting?" Eric asked cautiously.

"Simple, really." The other man said patronizingly. "This country needs an intervention and we're the only ones who can do it. We kill Whosit, Arya, Ravus, MathNerd - hell, all the politicians and their crackpot little reporter. Then we burn the Palace and destroy Stonehenge."

The joke's on YOU! Here we go!:D:lol::lol::lol::eek:

Well that was interesting. Whosit i DID warn you not to whip the settler in liverpool, although the revolt is NOT my doing. I can promise you that. It didnt even occur to me, as i am not the opposition at the moment. Well now thats your mess to clean up. I have my own.

I continue to hunt these copperheads, but this time i am always accompanied by my zealots. No less than 20 are withing 30 yards of me at all times. Contingents of 4 are sent out to protect every important leader on england (all immortal politicians in the thread) and are given orders to protect them from any copperheads, or other threats.

Continue with the war plan, although you may take the iniative and differentiate from the plan if the need arises.

Alexander Armitage takes over command in amsterdam for the moment, replacing me until i return to the front. Once i return he will be my subordinate.

I think that is all.

I just read through the last few pages. Not much to comment on, though I support hitting Germany before Rome.

EDIT: Double X-Post. First, death threats are NOT ACCEPTED IN ENGLAND. Kill the remaining Copperheads. Kill them...

I don't know a lot about Great Generals, so lets ask Whosit what to do with him.

I have decided against this. If possible, we will hit germany and italy at the same time. If not, then italy takes priority since once italy is over, the army can leave so that it can help in germany and the balkans. If we focus on germnay, then we will still have the army in italy, and it wont be helping germnay any time soon.

How many forces are in Italy? If the Roman army is weak enough there, I say attack Rome head on. If not, I think we need to take Germany and not bite off more than we can chew.

MN chill. It has already been decided, and we havent even taken antium yet. And we would have to take settia before rome if we had any common sense.

Death threats? That cant be tolerated. I dont think we have to kill them all, just take out their leadership (which is currently being accomplished splendidly).

Also, I am now in the chatroom. No ones there. No ones ever there.

After a little bit of discussion with Mathnerd in the chatroom, I believe we have a good plan for dealing with the Copperheads:

First, we take out the leadership. Then we offer pardons to those who leave the movement in exchange for information about its activities and leaders. We use the information to track down major players in the movement, while keeping track of the ones who left the movement, in cause they may have lied or deceived us.

Mech! Your back!

Anyway, i technically gave the order for them all to be killed, but the leadership will help.
