Um... Whosit's already VP. Was it not clear? I'll correct that.

EDIT: I actually think that being in the Opposition is more fun than being the Prez. As Prez, you need to deal with all of the bookkeeping, and with keeping the citizens happy, and in my case, with the whole democracy aspect, etc.

@WIM: Two different games. Let's keep IOT away from Realpolitik.

@MN: I meant if Whosit became prez.

I'm been more active.

Trust me on this one. And I think I've done more stuff.

You´ve only been more active recently. And if you weren´t prez, you wouldn´t have done more - I did the 1st reply to this thread, kickstarting it to life!

1. I was on vacation. That's why I joined the Monks. And when I do actually at home I am quite active.

2. The second point does not relate at all.

Wow. This is amusing to read. :p

Anyway, lets let Whosit decide who will be VP for him. I think I know who he'll pick, though.

1) I´m on vacation right now.
2) Pretty impressive that after 243 pages, the first replyer hasn´t been president yet. I´ve seen a lot more of your posts be spam than mine.

EDIT: Double X-Post.

@MN: Who?

1. And your point is that when I was on vacation I SHUOLD have been more active. But it was a once in every 5 years thing, and I'm sure not spending my time on REALPOLITIK.

2. It really doesn't matter if you are the first replyer

3. Take away the spam, I still have more posts, probably more PMs, and more VMs.

1) I´m only here for today due to my irregular schedule today. I´ll do some more vacationing tommorow.
2) yes it does.
3) You don´t have more non-spam posts than me, or PMs. Probably VMs though. Seriously, you should see the amount of PMs MN has given me.

Right now, both of you are spamming, and I'm starting to get a little agitated.

I won't say who. :p

1. Sounds good.
2. No it doesn't.
3. I do have lots of posts. I would say 80% are non-spam, 70% at the lowest. I get lots of PMs. Mass amounts of PMs. Not all from here, but quite a bit, easily 20+ a day, during last election 50+ a day was not uncommon.

EDIT: @ MN: Not really. You just spamed by saying we're spamming.

This argument is running in circles (even though I´m right :p), so I´ll just say that you´re a flip-flopper, and I´m consistent, which makes me better.

I flip flop for my own reasons. Mostly because I get bored. The pacifist thing limited me to much, the monk was kinda pointless after vacation, and the ninja-pirates need to adapt.

How was it spam by saying that you were spamming? I was trying to reduce spam, which technically means that I negative spammed...

EDIT: Now this was spam. :p

OK, well, for my reference and yours, here is the most recent (that I found) listing of Administration positions, which I apparently never read in full because I didn't realize that I had two positions! I don't need to be more than the Vice President, honestly. Sonereal is more than competent to be the Military adviser, if he wishes to officially have that position. Of course, I'm sure that every member of the Imperial Party would be more than happy to offer suggestions for war-related matters.

Unity Administration (Pending Confirmation and future requests)
Prez: MathNerd
VP: Whosit
Ministers:
Finance & Espionage: Cull
Military & War: Whosit
Technology & Development: Nuke
Foreign Affairs & Peace: WIM + Ravus
Governers / Premiers:
British Isles: Ilduce
Iberia (Western Europe): Nuke
France (Eastern Europe): Ravus

Someone (can't remember who) attempted to create an order of succession, but since governmental positions seem to change from administration to administration, it seems a futile business. Having set, official positions in the future might help, or perhaps abandoning official positions beyond the President and Vice President. Or not. Well, the larger the administration, the harder it is to find a real job for everyone, I suppose. Anyway, enough musing on that.

Personally, in terms of national importance, I would put the Minister of Foreign Affairs as third in line for succession, which means that either west india man or Ravus (or both, I suppose) would become VP if MathNerd has to put me in charge. I'd probably put Financial Minister next, followed by the Minister of War.

MN has final say, of course, but this is what I would do.

Prez: MathNerd
VP: Whosit
Minister of Finance: Cull
Interior Governor of the British Isles: Ilduce
Interior Governor of Iberia: Nuke
Minister of Military: Whosit
Interior Governor of France: Ravus
Minister of Technology: Nuke
Minister of Foreign affairs: WIM + Ravus
Minister of Peace and Cooperation: Ravus
Minister of Espionage: Cull

I actually had in mind that they were arranged in order of importance, so I'd imagine that Cull would become VP. (The reason that Foreign wasn't that high is because we'd mostly already discussed most of it) However, if you become Prez, I'd let you decide. While I'm at it, I make one request: If/when you becomes Prez, I'd like you to post the plan on the forum and wait for at least a couple hours to let people comment on it before making the corrections and sending it to LH.

Also, I thought that VP would be a chore in and of itself, but since Sonereal didn't want to have a post, I though you would be the most competent person left.

Belated post, but:

It doesn't matter that English capital in Europe makes it not England anymore! What matters is that moving the capital would take down the maintenance capital a little. Since as others have said, the colony penalty in BtS shoots up for cities on another continent, then by moving the capital to the mainland would in all likelihood drop down the maintenance. Which may just be a small boon to the economy, but every little bit helps, eh?

And I've moved my capital plenty of times. Twice for maintenance, and twice because my capital city was just failing.

I would prefer if we had a city near Lyons or Paris, but the closest developed city around the region is RY so we should move it there. Plus, if we capture Germany and our capital is still on the British Isles, then what would happen to maintenance then, eh?
