Reclaiming the World (Game Thread)

OOC: Game Moderator, if you must compare my governmental structure to a pre-existing one I believe it is most like City States.

An Introduction to Hannah the Hood: One of Seven Pirate Lords serving under the Pirate King and elected through popular vote in her allocated tribal district.

Hannah the Hood watched them swarm throughout the town, weaving in and out of the destruction. Their cutlasses shone with the mesmerizing dance of the flames. Like a troupe of painters she thought. Flaming debris rained down around her as a cannonball hurtled through what had once been the village chapel. Painting the world a new color. The desperate cries of the wounded fell and died upon her ears. A color she was well familiar with. She turned her back on the slaughter, her green eyes flashing and her cruel mouth contorted into a smirk that held no warmth. The color of pain. The smile of the insane...

It was a good day to be a pirate.

The map is not entirely black, and will appear more as you sedn out exploration parties or expand...

OOC: When are orders due? Please give 24 hours notice or I won't be able to work around my schedule. The more notice the more detailed I can make my orders.

An entire world... open. All this land... free for the taking. Yes, the king of Echajinia thought, this is good. Very good indeed. And soon... this world... will be ours.

I wish that you had posted in the discussion thread that this was starting for those of us like me who are too lazy to check. :p

Also, could you make a smaller map that contains only the explored area so we don't have to go looking for the non-black region? :p

Anyway...

The Ironic people had suffered long, but it was at an end- they found a lush, fertile region between two rivers (referred to as "One River" and "Another River"), with a mysterious metal. They later translated a small piece of an "ancient" (from 2012 AD) text that called the metal Iron, and the people thought it was god-like and worshipped it. They even named their country "Ironic" in honor of it.

sorry, I'll go do that... :mischief:

anyway, your people are accepted, and will be in the next update.

Oh, Choxorn, do send orders this turn?

and if i haven't mentioned it yet, it costs 1 gpt to exploit a resource on turn 1

An Introduction to Jarret Kirkwood also known as Jarret the Traitor: One of Seven Pirate Lords serving under the Pirate King and entitled by the Pirate King.

Jarret's hand burned. It always burned. He stared down at the branding upon the back of his right hand. He ran his fingers delicately over the T shaped scar extending from his wrist to his knuckles. Oh how it burned.

The sound of feet slapping against cobblestone echoed throughout the village. And he wept, for his and the others ambition had brought death down upon them all. Turning back he caught sight of the seven masts and colors of the Pirate Lords peaking over the village hall. Then there was blackness.

A throbbing pain in his head brought him back to his senses and withdrawing his hand from the wound he saw a mess of crimson blood. Two men stood over him. "This be my ship, he'll be dealt with in accordance to the traitors law." The other man slid his thumbs into his belt and spoke four unflinching words "I am the law." With that the man flicked his hands up revealing two pistols. Those pistols shouted into the night, calling for the blood of a single insolent Pirate Lord.

A crimson haze had covered the world that day, one that would affect Jarret for the rest of his life. The Pirate King helped Jarret up from the deck. "Welcome to your new life boy, this ship be yours now, serve her well." Later that day Jarret found the ships branding iron. He knew what he had to do to ensure that he would never again let ambition lead him to ruin.

He was seventeen. He was a Pirate Lord.

For anyone who may be interested, I have added my nation's history into my stat post.

OOC: Orders in and raring to go, I'll continue making my back-story when I get time.

My orders will be in tonight - real life sucks at the moment...

Hey Pinman, what about Birth of an Empire? ;)

What are you talking about? He's on the green circle North of Fazure, I'm on the Grey square far to the east, near Kasharan.
