AMERICAN ELECTION NEARS! The American election will arrive in only 10 months(5 turns). Candidates have already started campaigns etc to become their parties nominations. The top players for the Republican party is former general Dwight D. Eisenhower and Robert A. Taft, a senator from Ohio and son of former president William H. Taft Other candidates include Earl Warren and Douglas MacArthur. The Democratic partys main candidates are Estes Kefauver, a senator from Tennessee, Adlai Ewing Stevenson, governor of Illinois, Richard Brevard Russell, a senator from Georgia and William Averell Harriman, Secretary of Commerce under Trumans current administration.
EUROPES ECONOMY! Sweden continues to improve its economy while the rest of Europe continues to expand its military. Sweden has one of the largest economies in the entire world. Romania also tries to grow its economy and has the 2nd strongest economy in Eastern Europe next to Russia. France also begins to improve its economy as new roads and railways are set down. Frances economy is slowly rising to match that of the UK and Sweden.
IRISH TERRORISTS AT IT AGAIN! The Irish terrorists that the UK government believed to be still in the country launched an attack on the rebuilt parliament. This attack was quickly destroyed by the numerous guards and military personal now guarding the site. The parliament was in session at this time, but no members of parliament were harmed. Many members now demand action against Ireland.
MILITARY BUILDUPS! The nations of UK, Italy, CRS, and Yugoslavia have all began massive military build ups. These moves by communist nations has further intensified American fears of any type of communist attack on its allies. The US has offered to officially place troops in Europe. NATO just needs to tell her where.
NORWAY WANTS IN! Norway has decided to join either the NPA or NATO, but it is unsure which at this moment. Persuasion is needed

ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT! A radical communist member has attempted the assassination of Southern Spains Premier. The attempt cost the lives of two of his bodyguards, but the premier got away unscathed. The gunman was killed by bodyguards just moments after shots were fired. Papers found on him show he is a member of the communist party, police are already trying to figure out why he would try to kill the leader of their country and if he has any assistants.
MONKEYS IN SPACE! The USA, Russia and NPa have all sent animals into space. As Poland researches Animal Testing for Russia, Russia sends up 2 dogs and 3 monkeys into space. Italy is the one to research testing for the NPA as Portugal sends up the test animals. The USA is forced to do it all by itself, but the pride that is generated is priceless.
NEW BRITISH JET! The Meteor now outclassed by the Mystere and MIGs has been replaced by the newest British jet fighter, the Hunter designed by Hawker, the same company that made the hurricane. The Hunter is now able to take on its MIG-15 and Mystere counterparts on equal grounds. This comes at the same time that Britain builds defenses around London.
