PEACE IN SPAIN! All forces in Spain have ended hostilities. The peace treaty is signed the day after hostilities began a year ago. All major players have been withdrawn and the nations of Spain rest in an uneasy peace. Meanwhile the Fascist Spain joins with EDL while Communist Spain and Portugal joins NPA.
BLOCKADE REMOVED! The blockade on the fascists and communists have ended, in reuslt both can now receive any trades.
GERMANY FALLS! The last of German soldiers surrender without a single shot as their leader kills himself(no orders). 2 Atomic weapons have been found in Bonn and quickly added to the Soviet stockpile. This comes at the same time the Italians withdraw from Germany. Konigsberg, renamed Kalingrad becomes part of the USSR, while the outlaying region is polish. The land east of the Oder is also given to Poland. Germany has been split into 3 zones, each controlled by a Warsaw Pact power, the USSR, Poland and Romania.
BERLIN RISES! The USSR has proposed a plan to rebuild Berlin, it will cost 30WC but the city will be remade. Building has already begun as 6 WC is introduced from Poland.
SWEDEN MOBILIZES! Sweden has begun army movements in preparation of an invasion. More defenses are built along the coast. The Swedish Line has been proposed to run across the entire coastline, it will cost 150 WC though.
FRANCE PULLS OUT! As France leaves the EDL, it has also stopped protecting Bulgaria. The French troops there have been sent home.
FINLAND INVADED! Just as Finland leaves the EDL and becomes neutral, the USSR has used the new spring opportunity to invade Finland. The force from Germany is rushed to the line. It progresses slowly due to poor roads and bad terrain. The soviets however greatly out number the Finn army. It is only a matter of time until Helsinki is under attack. The Soviet forces bypass the Finnish army by attacking north. This may prove vital towards the Finn army as they have the land advantage.

PURGES! No, not in Russia but in Italy. Reports come in that former supporters of the Warsaw Pact have been killed. This includes Field Marshal Giordano. This highly respected commanders death has weakened the armys morale.
TECHNOLOGY! Italy has given out the T-34 designs to all NPA countries. They can now make T-34s. France has also given the Mystere research to all NPA nations. In a type of retaliation the USA has given Strategic Missiles and Improved Tank Armor to TATO a.k.a. Great Britain. The new London Tank has replaced the Light Tank for Britain. This matches the American Sherman in firepower.
DUBLIN TANK! Ireland develops the Dublin tank, using a mixture of T-34 and medium tank designs. This has produced a tank capable of matching the T-34/50 in battle. The light and medium tank in the NPA nations are now obsolete.
USA DEVELOPS ADVANCED JET ENGINES! The new F-86/A1 is able to match the MIG 17 in combat at this point. The USSR develops something else...
SPACE RACE! In a joint effort by the Rome Pact, Slovakia develops Strategic Missiles using its entire economy. This is soon followed by Space Flight by a combined USSR and Polish effort. Sputnik has been put into space as the first artificial satellite. It is primitive however and can only send radio waves. This has shocked the world however and the USSR is considered to be the most advanced nation on earth.
OOC: new rule, you can only bank up to 100 WC. This limit will eventually decrease over time.

Today the swedish government has decided to leave neutrality. After the invasion of Finland and other previously free countries Sweden has understood that Sweden will follow sooner or later.
If the USSR does not start move out all forces out of finnish territory and declare a cease-fire within the next 3 days Sweden will interfere to ensure the safety of ourselves and our finnish brothers.
