AMERICAN ELECTION NEARS! The American election will arrive in only 6 months(3 turns). Campaigns have come into full swing. The most impressive part of this campaign is the fact many Republicans and Democrats are split on who to choose. Polls show Dwight D. Eisenhower in a slight lead on Robert A. Taft, the democrats are not much different, but to much worse effect. Estes Kefauver appears to be in the lead, but Adlai Stevenson and Richard Russell are not far behind. William Harrison appears to be at the same spot he was 2 months ago. The political conventions are still 2 moths away, its still anybodys game.
FRENCH REFORMS! France has put much money in increasing their economic and technological presence. France has not only developed computers, but they have also built great docks and a propaganda center. The largest French reform was the sudden independence of Syria. Now the entire middle east is in an uproar for independence from Britain. French Indochina has also demanded independence. If nothing is done soon, France could lose this important colony!
CARRIER JETS! Britain has finished researching the ability to put jets on carriers. This has increased the deadly force of the British carriers. The British were quick to trade the new technology to America for computers. Britain has also disbanded all of its now obsolete Spitfires. The UK has also sold the London Tank plans to the Commonwealth for 20 wc.
ISRAEL DEMANDS INDEPENDENCE! As transjordan and the middle east want independence from Britain, the Zionists in Israel have demanded the British government to partition transjordan between Jordan and Israel. It is unsure what the brutish will do, considering the promised the Zionists a free Israel over 20 years ago.
PRIME MINISTER RETURNS! The Belgian Prime Minister has been acquitted of all charges. He has returned to duty as acting Prime Minister. The main cause for the case was the main belief the entire thing was fabricated by Yugoslavian agents. A large minority of Belgian citizens still say he is guilty. The Prime Minister has let the go head on the large British movement of troops to the country. 8 British divisions are now located in the small country.
MEDITERRANEAN BUILDUP! The new union has begun researching and building up armed forces like crazy. They have developed improved targeting systems for bombers and carrier jets as well. A new Propaganda center has been built and 2 new armored divisions and 6 new infantry divisions. The launching of the MUS(Mediterranean Union Ship)Sardinia has strengthened the new countrys carrier fleet.
BORDER CLASH! What the Mediterraneans are calling a pure accident, a platoon of tanks and 2 platoons of troops accidentally killed almost 7 border guards. The Yugoslavians reacted with an immediate shift of forces on the area and spotted a truck coming their way. When the truck saw the tanks in front of it, it quickly turned around. It is unsure what will become of this situation. In other news, the Red Dusk continues to demand money and equipment from the Mediterranean government.
