Nothing that has not already been talked about. I would just repeat that you want to have as many workers as it takes to keep up with tile improvements. At least for the first dozen or so towns.
Play a game at Regent along the lines you have been for settings and use all you have picked up. See if you can win domination by mid 1800's. If you do that, you probably can move up.
If you find the time, look for a few SG games that are at Monarch, they are hard to find. If the game was completed, bookmark it and read it over time. Only use C3C games, though.
Skip variants at least those like AW, you will not be able to use those tactics in normal games. Well you can, but it will not teach you much. I think Tobby had one with some solid logs, from good players.
Only read the AW and levels above Monarch for fun, till you are ready to try above Monarch. Settings that are similar to those you will use are the best.
If you get stuck post and players will jump in.
Time to get insane with Regent.
