I'm starting this thread to offer some thanks to the team and its members. I'm not trying to introduce a 'popularity contest' so much as just an open post for showing appreciation for the works and contributions throughout the latest cycle.

For this version 34 release I'd like to nominate Alberts2 as our VIP. He started with us during the early part of the cycle and has truly been the backbone that's sorted out a tremendous number of very VERY complex issues that everyone else currently modding with much activity would've been unable to address. These problems were so deep and game-breaking and yet so tough to sort out that I think we all owe him a huge thanks for the unprecedented stability this version carries with it. C2C might be dead in the water without his expertise and dedicated contributions - for a new team member... wow! Great job man!


Honorary mentions go out to everyone else on the team of course but I'd like to also note that Faustmouse has REALLY stepped up his game as a team member and contributor. As has Yudishtira. Great work from both of you this cycle! You've been extraordinarily helpful members of the team - perhaps the best 'team players' among us.

And Sparth... wow! WELCOME to the team bud! You're a graphics GOD! C2C is going to be so much better with the HUGE new wow factor you've brought us and continue to further all the time. I'm deeply appreciative for this. Our first page facelift this cycle was enough to rave about in and of itself! But the units... sooooo cool to see them in play!

DH, SO, Hydro - great work as always guys! Yours are the torches that light our way to the future which grows brighter with every release.


An aside - we recieved some incredible out of the blue assistance from 45°38'N-13°47'E from the AND revival team with sorting out some very long standing and stubborn OOS errors. Between he and AIAndy we've gone a long ways this cycle towards re-enabling the ability to play a multi-player game again. Long overdue so a huge thanks here.

And thanks to all who play and comment and get involved at any and all levels of the mod's development. This is, IMO, the best release I've seen us put out yet. (Hopefully no terrible bugs show up that we didn't catch to spoil that feeling ;) )

Well done guys! It's your efforts that make me proud to be a part of this extraordinary project. :goodjob:


EDIT: Has this cycle really gone on for so long that Koshling's merging of Super Forts took place during this version change? If so... wow... this HAS been a nice long cycle (and it shows in the quality upgrade I think!) And... thanks for this really cool new development Koshling! I know you've had a lot on your plate outside of the mod and all I can say is I'm hoping that it's helping you to overcome any sensations of 'burnout' that I'm sure are easily built up when giving the mod the kind of intense focus you did here for months and we can never minimize the impact of those incredible contributions. I'm hoping it's helping you recover and renew your focus a bit because we sure miss ya buddy!
 
For me I got to closely work with Faustmouse (buildings) and Yudishtira (units) this cycle. Not to mention this cycle has been so huge that I even got to work with MrAzure (transhuman stuff) some before he disappeared. And also Sargon (wonders).

SO, TB and DH I have worked with often too but i have known them a lot longer than the ones I mentioned.

Singling anyone out is hard since there are tons of great stuff going on that I am not directly working with.

I would also like to thank all those people like Grimith who did the audio quotes. There are just so many people that help out both as major modders, minor modders, long time fans, new fans or just C2C YouTubers (which is awesome unto itself).

There are also all the 3D moders like Kathy who have helped with some request outside the C2C subforum.

Just know not matter how big or how small you have helped out C2C I am so very thankfu for what everyone is doing. :worship: :clap: :beer:

I have tons of plans for v35 and soon Ill start working on them.
 
It was really great indeed. Was it really this circle when Hydro, Mr Azure and I worked on the TH era buildings :eek:

I have a terrible memory for names, but there was a guy that came up with a bunch of new quotes (written ones). Also Nevets with the mini Resource Icons and 0100010 came very recently and both will do great work in the future I guess.

And not to forget you TB, you added a lot of cool things this circle and solved numberous bugs!
 
I'm not sure who's fully responsible for them but one of my favorite features in this release is all those early wonders and new early buildings. I know some of it is Mr Azure's doing but I think the wonders were someone else... please stand up - you added a very fun new element! I didn't agree with them at first because it seemed 'off' to me to add natural features as something build-able but relaxing my logical side and simply appreciating the fact that those are so positively affecting the early gameplay options I've begun to be just in love with these. Really cool!
 
I would like to thank everyone who has worked on this mod in any way shape or form. Without your contributions I wouldn't be able to play what I believe to be the best mod, or by now maybe even the best game of all time. Thank you
