I've noticed I found Buddhism alot although recently I'm going to save up to found one of the latter religions

I rarely found a religion, I always head for all the ground improvment techs and then end up going of into construction and so on.

Usally Confucnasism or Buddism

None.

Religions are a waste of time and ressources. Time that could be spent conquering.

If I'm playing a Spiritual civ, or trying for a cultural victory, I usually go after as many religions as I can. I usually end up with Judaism and Islam by choice, and may end up stumbling onto Taoism, Confucianism or Christianity just while going after other techs. The extra income you get from founding the Shrines is quite nice, especially if you are spreading your religion around. Not to mention controlling (somewhat) the spread of religion can help you out diplomatically.

If I'm playing a warmonger civ, I usually skip founding religions altogether, and just go with whatever wanders into my empire, or pick one that helps me diplomatically if more than one spreads to me.

I used to grab Hinduism a lot with Ghandi, but I'm switching to Elizabeth now and Confuscism is becoming my #1. Grab the Oracle and take CoL.

Usually Hinduism or Buddhism, but if I can't get one of those I'll head for Christianity or Confucianism.

If I'm playing as a civ with mysticism, I'll always try and found hinduism. On harder levels, its always impossible to beat the AI to buddism because of their enhanced research rates, so hinduism is the only way to go.

Usually I don't found one, and just take somebody elses holy city.

It varies from game to game. Lately I've been aiming for Christianity, 'cause I just love that sinister music that goes with it .

In general I found Hinduism because, unless you start with Mysticism, it's the one your most likely to found. I usually found either Judaism, Confucianism, Christianity and Taoism. I always try to make sure I found Islam so that I give myself a headtsart building the Spiral Minaret.

i usualy found christianity but i focus on more important things than religion

Hinduism if I start off with Mysticism (because Buddhism tends to go with some other civilization with Mysticism), otherwise Christianity unless I get Code of Laws first.

Most often I found Buddhism. I haven't noticed that it would be harder than Hinduism. It's your karma that decides if you get what you want. ;) It's best to found either Buddhism or Hinduism, so you can create early and growing culture points to get vast boarders and great influence in the world.

If I'm not succesfull founding either of the religions I go for Judaism, but often some other takes it. Why I don't know. I have tried all the others too, and Confucianism, Taoism and Chistianity is quite simple to get - if I want to - but Islam is almost always taken by somebody else. The few times that have not happened, Islam never (accept once) become a large religion. It comes to late.

Usually Confucianism. Code of Laws is great to get first, because it gives both a religion and the ability to build courthouses. Once I get Code of Laws I can start rapidly expanding.

Is it good to found many religions? I have only done that sometimes and that was earlier when I wasn't that good at playing, so I do not really know if several holy cities and several religions in one city (plenty of temples) are good. I got to try... :crazyeye:
