Iceland and Greenland (and Norway) were just Danish colonies.
While it is true that Norway was unified with Denmark for over 400 years (and later with Sweden for under 100 years) and didn't regain true independence before 1905 then Norway was never a colony.

Also, although Iceland was part of the Danish Kingdom until the onset of 2nd WW then it was actually settled by emmigrants coming from Norway and only came under Danish control when Norway unified with Denmark in 1397. Iceland was never considered a colony either.

Of the territories mentioned then only Greenland was ever a Colony.

:bump:

Anyone have any idea what I could rename the UB? I've been thinking about making an improvement called "Trading Post" and don't want them to be called the same.

'Mead Hall' would make a decent UB. It would replace barracks and give a default happiness bonus.
Historical justification: Mead Hall is refrenced in Beowulf numerous times, generaly refering to a lords grace. It was also a place for the huskarls to enjoy the lords graces while not fighting.
EDIT: I didn't see that you only wanted to rename the UB. IF you want to stick to a simple renaming, I'm stuck.

If you just want a different name, I can suggest Kaupthing. Kaup = trade, thing = assembly.
