Alright, I need two more testers for my latest mod component, the immigration mod. Any takers?

Send me a PM TheLopez and I'll try to squeeze it in. How many turns need to be played to see the actual immigration? Would starting in a later era help at all?

Well, that's it, I got two people to volunteer for testing. Expect to see this mod released within a week or two depending on how testing goes.
 
Forgive me for responding late, but I'm very curious to know how your immigration mod changes the game (my job is closely related to the topic).

Sorry to be a bit cryptic but you will have to wait with everyone else till the mod comes out. As a teaser: there are over 25 configurable options to fine tune the mod though.

BTW what do you do for your job?

Sorry zulu9812, the quota of testers was filled up when woodelf volunteered.
 
Not to jump the gun or sound too strident but given the current debate about immigration in the US I hope this mod doesn't take a position on the value/harm of immigrants to a civ, or if it does, that it's configurable so Minutemen and La Raza supporters can each model their own idea of what effects immigration has. I know the original idea of "Illegal Immigrant" was mentioned in the context of the "Bad People Mod"...

Padmewan, I hope my group of testers can back me up on this but, no, the Immigration Mod does not take into account any of the latest developments on immigration in the USA. I felt that it was completely out of scope of the mod.

Woodelf? Civmansam? Shqype? WR? any input on this?
 
There's nothing harmful in this component at all. Nothing demeaning, imflammatory, or even controversial. People come, people go. (All without my understanding at the time being :)). They don't get repelled at the border and aren't made out in a negative light. If anything you want more, more, more!
 
Sorry, I just realized I was confusing you with RogerBacon -- he had mentioned the possibility of an "Illegal Immigrant" Bad Person... Move along :blush:
