Rescaled Latitude Limits modmod + No Latitude/Longitude Limits modmod

@tmv What are you making here? Updating Raxxo's modmod? I have never used it cause I was always testing Civic changes on a base game.

Yes, I update this mod for new SVN versions. It's almost a must if you want to play with a space map (until multimaps get released).

Cool :goodjob: & a Big THANK YOU!

Hey I'm kind of new to C2C and wanted to try out one of the space maps, it sounds like this modmod is necessary to play those scenarios? Which version of the modmod should I download? I have C2C v43, I see there are three choices in the original post but I'm not sure which one to use.

"Orig" is the original version of the files, so that you can easily restore the behavior of C2C itself. If you have played with a space map and then change to a "normal" map, this makes it easier.

"Rescaled" adapts the settings to a space map, where the Earth part is going to be in the lowest part of the map.

"NoLL" removes the longitude/latitude restrictions completely. If you want to have mammoths in the middle of Africa, this is your choice.

Thanks for the answer. Rescaled looks like the one I want.

So if I wanted to start a full game and go all the way through the tech tree over a very long period of time, I should start a custom scenario of one of the space maps, disable all the victories except Science, pick epic or marathon game speed, make sure this modmod is installed, then play. Am I missing anything that would screw something up later on?

I think that should work. Please keep in mind that shortly after the release of v43 a savebreaking change was implemented, so any game you start on v43 cannot be continued on SVN or on v44 when it is released.

Good to know, I just won't update to v44, unless its going to be soon and have some big changes in it.

Anyways, thank you for answering my questions, apologies for the derail.

have some big changes in it.
That's... the definition of "save-breaking", loool. Though, in this case it was something about naming conventions, so... not really the reason here. Still works as a fact, though.
And yes, it definitely WILL have some BIG changes, absolutely.
For one, if you are patient enough to GET there - you can now actually play with sort-of Multi-Maps of Space, NOT as added plots on the map, but as SEPARATE PLANETS/AREAS.
As in, you now can have units that TELEPORT to a DIFFERENT Space map altogether - and there's one for each TYPE of Space. Just check the Civpedia for Satellite and similar stuff.
It's bugged (or rather, unsynchronized with the normal map), it's barely implemented, but you CAN use it, it EXISTS - and the very idea is COOL as heck.
And, of course, there's a ton of other smaller changes that had accumulated over the years - I'm pretty sure some aspects of gameplay now ARE different at least to a degree.
