What he said. I'll respect almost anyone with ambition, even if it's the ambition to do something I find incredibly pointless and stupid. But without ambition, you're worth less than the cost of the bullet that should be put in your head for wasting precious resources.

To me, being lazy means you just wanna enjoy life to it's fullest, so I don't see anything wrong with being lazy. My question is, why does society have no respect for those who are lazy? And for those of you who don't respect lazy people, why don't they deserve your respect?

People come in all shapes, sizes, colors and activity levels.

It's just part of human nature.

There is no greater virtue in people who are always trying to keep busy than there is in people who work just enough so that they can do as they please.

The wealth of a man is not measured by money, but my how little work he does after having satisfied all of his basic needs and has enough left over to do what he likes.

Some people work for things as arbitrary and useless as having their own plane. Other work just enough so that they can spend their time playing dominos at the park with all the other old guys.

Lazyness isn't an issue so much things that some lazy people do such as mooching off of society - though I can't say that all rich people are assets either :\
