Update 2400BC

World Events

Europan forces attack English border patrols in Holland and launch an invasion campaign against the Empire. Due to the surprise attack they are able to push back the English all the way to Amsterdam.

The Kingdom of Pheonicia forms an alliance with its old enemy in Persia, and attacks Babylon. King Ribb-Addi states that Babylons recent actions have proven it to be an untrustworthy neighbour.

India declares its support of Persia and declares war upon Babylon. It sends aid to Persia.

The Empire of Persia with Indian support is able to defeat the Babylonians and launch a counter invasion of Babylon.

China begins construction of its Great Library.

Disease strikes the Carthaginian army, many soldiers die. The disease looks set to spread.

Egypt begins its Great Sea wall.

The Iroquois declare war on the Mali Kingdom. Great Chief Hiwatha states that they have found their worthy adversary.

Due to the new "Democratic" government of the Huns, the people feel proud of their achievements as the "first democracy" of the world. This causes an upswing in nation consripts.

The disease was horrindus. The Egyptian scientists stand stooped over the table. which ontop of it was a dead victim of the disease spreading in Carthage. It didn't look to be caused by an insect bite, as the body was smooth with no bumps of bites. The face of the victim lay crowded with huge blue blotches, and the eyes turned around. The disease killed its victims fast and ruthless. Within a week after the evidence the victim had the disease, the victim would die.

The scientists remain to study the disease for a cure, with dead and alive victims.

Until this disease is under control, all of Egypt's ports and roads are closed to all nations. I am sorry, but the health of my people is the greatest concern.

The first election finally was held in the Chimu Empire, and with no surprise King Ninchcaman was elected Prime Minister as well, with a national support that was touching the 80%, the remaining 20% simply did not vote.

Although some people claims that Ninchcaman could reach this success only because he was the only one running for the presidency.

Now that the votation were through, Ninchcaman felt a lot better but something bad was about to happen

It regret us that your two countris are at war right now, since we believe that the Iroquois wants to fight alone, as they want to prove their great war skills, we will not interfere in this war.

The cabinet grew concerned about the war in Europe. Chairman Diadipa finally called the cabinet to order and called for a declaration of war on the Europan people. The Ministers of Defense and Justice quickly voted yes while the Ministers of the Interior and Trade voted no. The two sides now tried to sway the only non-National Face member of the cabinet, the Republican Foreign Affairs Minister. After many hours of debate it was announced to the people that the Cabinet had decided upon a declaration of war on Europa in support of our Viking allies and the nation of England. The declaration was now put to the houses, where 33 yes votes were needed to appove war in the Assembly and 3 in the Senate. The National Face members of the Assembly quickly voted for war along with their Republican allies. Soon all the Communist representatives were on the side of the National Face too, but that was 26 votes against the Socialist 24, even though it was a majority, it was not enough. Debate raged as 6 conservative Socialists were conflicted about what to vote. One by one they took the side of the National Face and soon there was an overwhelming majority of Assemblyman voting for war.
The results of the Delcaration of War on Europa were in:
For: 39 (19 Face, 4 Communist, 3 Republican, 12 Socialist)
Against: 11 (11 Socialist)
In the Senate the measure passed easily with all four governors voting for war. Soon, the army was mobilized and ready to go.

OOC: Kennelly the Iroquois are a highly warlike and miltaristic people in this NES, altho they are honourable like the Klingons from Star Trek there probably wont be any or very many attacks, its just they want to prove to themselves how great a warrior race they are against a worthy adversary ie the Mali.
