Samuel was walking towards his fellow hunter/gatherers, followed by his 6 lesser monks. Examining the groups of hunters, he motioned for his group to stop. He picked up a stick with a notch in it, and asked what it's purpose was.

"The notched stick is used to propell spears at an incredible speed," one of his monks said.

"Indeed," he motioned to a man 25 yards away. "You there!"

The man looked up.

"Hold out your cloak!"

He did so.

"Higher!"

He raised it about a foot.

"HIGHER!!"

He raised it as far as it could go without the cloak going over himself.

Samuel readied a spear, and chucked it.

The Spear soared through the air, and into the hand holding the cloak.

Samuel tossed the device to the monk who had spoken earlier. "Work that into the existing army."

As Samuel was walking away, he shouted "MEDIC!!"

Samuel picked up some of the sand on the coast, and smelled it.

One of his monks seemed to notice something. "Is something wrong, Brother Samuel?"

"I smell something on the waves," he said, "Something...different from us."

There was a short pause before he turned to his monks. "Build more sea craft. I want to find them."

Two of the monks bowed, and excused themselves. Samuel turned back to the sea, the sunset glistening in his feline eyes.
