Insurgent
Welcome to the new United Nation's thread for The NeverEnding Story Return To Roots 2. Update responsibility was ceded to me after time constraints left Jason unable.
Here is the UN structure (posted orignally by Naervod, Later by Jason the King)
1. Initially every nation is included and has one vote in the Assembly.
2. A 2/3 majority of the Assembly can vote to kick out a member nation.
3. A 5 nation Command Council is elected every 5 game turns.
4. The Command Council has the power to send peacekeeping forces anywhere in the world to keep peace. 4 out of the 5 nations must agree to this. Each country must contribute at least 1/10 of its army to peacekeeping forces should they be deployed.
5. The Assembly has the power to place sanctions as it sees fit on nations that put world peace in danger. (Note: This does not include small wars such as the one between the NEC and France).
6. Any nation may bring about a resolution to the Assembly. The resolution must then be approved by a majority vote.

UN Resolution 1: Military (CC Votes)Yay: 5, Nay: 0
In light of French attempts to negotiate with the Quebecois Insurgency (hereafter refered to "QI") have been met with evasive responses,
Keeping in ming that France is a sovreign and peaceful nation engaging in a righteous war of self-defense,

Member nations are not allowed to determine whether or not they are committed to use of their troops. For all the benefits the UN gives, they must have some sort of commitment to the matter, or else the UN loses its guns, shall we say.
CC members give the standard 1/10 of the army to be used by the UN. CC members recieve advantage only in certain matters, and the 1/5 is crippling--I would not even be able to advance were I committing 1/5 of my army, twice as much as any member.
Passed, enforced as of now
UN Resolution 5c:Yay: 7, Nay: 3
The PF is an army consisting of 1/10 of all member nations' armed forces. It is under tactical command of the CC. Nations may allocate more of the army if deemed necessary. The CC is not able to commit more than 1/10 of each member nations' armed forces outside of request.
Passed, enforced as of now
UN Resolution 5d:Yay:8, Nay:2
When a resolution that involves the PF is passed, a nation may call for a vote of "No Confidence." If the vote of "No Confidence" is petitioned by 10 member nations, it will go to an assembly vote of all nations. If a two-thirds majority votes against the resolution, the resolution will be stricken and will not be enacted by the PF.

Enforcement Null
Resolution 8c: Yay: 4 Nay: 2
Iron Fist Navies will not enforce the afforementioned blockade.
Enforcement Null
Resolution 9: Yay: 4 Nay: 2
All UN resolutions requiring millitary force will not use the force of the member states, amicable though they may be to the concept of their enforcement of the aforementioned edicts (Including any Resolutions to be made in the future, barring those already made). The United nations will instead use that bodies forces, those who act under the flag of the United Nations of Earth.
Passed
Resolution 9b: Yay: 2 Nay: 0
