Revolution IOT

*Giggles* I post as much as I do because I'm playing several NPCs. :innocent:

Also, Math, we're only the late 60s. Late 60s tech doesn't even allow for anything close to a modern city in Antarctica. You need A.) A massive support system for it and B.) Somehow keep it warm without being too warm to invoke the Heat Island effect and melting the ice.

Most cities ignore the latter and the former is usually handled by the countryside. Your city would involve shipping in metric tons of supplies from at least North Africa.

Or it would just create a large city-shaped swimming pool in Antarctica.

there's this amundsen scott station, built in 1957. i think it qualifies as a hamlet or something, due to the population being so small.

in fact msot research stations can be considered small cities, primarly because they ahve permanent residents, and asre usually self sufficent. most were built in the 50s or 60s.

in any case, we scale the plans back and plan to build a research station instead.

A city is a relatively large and permanent settlement.[1][2] Although there is no agreement on how a city is distinguished from a town within general English language meanings, many cities have a particular administrative, legal, or historical status based on local law.

I'm guessing in modern terms, that's at least a 500,000 to 1,000,000 people (including suburbs).

wrong, by a huge shot. there are cities as small as lacombe, with 10,000 people. i guess that's a requirement as that town just became a city five months ago.

I highly doubt you. (Minor) cities are bigger than that in freakin' M2TW.

The city of Krum has 7400 people. (its a cow town but still)

I was saying medieval cities are way bigger than Lacombe or whatever.

CITIES SHOULD BE BIGGER THAN 10,000 PEOPLE.

about the posting stats.. well, that's just me. i tried to move all arguments and stuff off the thread, but it has failed.

Update 12
1967

War erupted. Simple as that. The largest army the world has ever known is marching west into the Middle East. The War of the Nile saw only seven million die in nearly five years. Four million died this year alone.

well since khitan is in, and i have no other real choice than to let them rule everything, Spain must take action. we are interested in holding Israel proper ONLY.

either khitan rules everything and possibly destroys all jews, or kitan rules most, and Spain some, and i promise the Jewish culture would survive.

Spain declares war on Israel!

we also highly suggest Egypt do the same, as we are Busy in Israel.

I'd rather wait till the oceans recede back to their normal zones before launching an invasion. I don't want my navy to sink along with Spain.

then Khitan would rule parts of Egypt. unless we get to it or something.

I meant I was going to wait until after Sonereal makes your nation gelatinously implode.

and the reason why it didn't happen to Khitan is because...?

he did not procvide a Casues Belli. i provided one by either:

1. Liberating Egyptian lands (ill get to that, dont worry)
2. protecting the jewish culture from a hostile invader.

countries only sink when sonereal thinks its metagaming.

Why hasn't France surrendered to Yugoslavia or Spain yet?
