And because I couldn't find a better system. I tried triangles but they weren't visible enough.

I tried that when making the new map but it got pretty dicey in the smaller ocean provinces.

Navies are useful for taking control during a war or blockading before a war like the Holy Land did before the war.

Great Britain will allow your ships to take control of the Balearic Sea provided you blockade Southern France.

Edit: I think a better system would be just for me to list which sea provinces are controlled by who. That means I can make a list that allows for "joint control" of provinces.
