RFC: BtS Bug Reports

It happened during the spawn of Arabia... I've relied on autosaves during that game... And I can't find them in the "Beyond the Sword\Saves\single\auto". Would that mean I have to start all over again? XD

the thing is, simple descriptions do not really help to catch bugs. Savegames, on the other hand, do. With them it is possible to reproduce the bug and try to correct it.

So just continue to play, and next time you see what could be a bug get a save.

I understand so I restarted my Rome game... Ok I'll follow your advice... :D Thanks BTW...

I have a strange bug in mp direct ip game. I was switching through civs a bit and on turn 187 no matter what civ i pick, the game autoplays until turn 500 without me being able to do anything. Strange, very strange, I hope someone can help

thanx

Don't know if was reported but the civs that auto start at war cause weird effects. One game Russia was my vassal and upon Mongol spawn they were at war with the Mongols but I wasn't. Similar thing with Maya/Aztec.

The same thing has happened to me both times I've tried. I've started playing as Kymer (I think) and the game announces that the Portuguese are appearing and would I like to take control of them. I say no, and then I become Portuguese. Very annoying.

Maybe you accidentally pressed yes? You can always load an autosave from a few turns back.

Post it in the MP section... But I don't know whats wrong.

have worked out why it was happening. Was getting impatient and "enter to end turn" and pressing too many times.

But, haven't worked out how to load up an auto-saved game. How do I do that?

I think this is a bug. As you can clearly see, I do not have open borders with Saladin, and yet my galley is in his territory.

I had a bug too one time, I told a Tank to pay a visit to my neighbour's city and all of a sudden the city is mine  Also he declared something on me earlier something about a war

P.S. just kidding :).

I have a bug/exploit that has recurred on me several times now.

If a civ is at war with a civ that just spawned and hasn't settled a city the newborn civ will move all but its settlers out of it spawn point, founding a city undefended spare its remaining settlers. The aggressor civ can wipe it out first turn. I've had barbarian Horse Archers from Netherlands kill off France their first turn (got resurrected turn after but lost all their settlers) and had a China AI who happened to have a mounted unit within range of Kharkorum kill off Mongolia on its spawn.

Additionally I was able to kill off all European civs with 4 roaming Numidian Cavalries.

That's not a bug due to anything about the mod. That is simply due to the stupidity of the AI inherent in CivIV.

In the recent Vanilla version, your opponents don't diplomatically react to you having same religions, sometimes at least.

Some leaders, such as the Romans and Persians, don't care about differing religion. It's a setting in the leaderhead XML files (iDifferentReligionAttitudeChange and the others by it). Not a bug.

It's Isabella who didn't give me the bonuses for following the same faith.

How long was it since you switched? It takes time to develop the bonus.

Many turns and no bonus.
