RFC: BtS Bug Reports

That is possible, when the other civ enters another era. In the medieval age, religion makes a big impact on diplomacy, so if you trade a medieval tech to a civ with another state religion, your relation gets worse. The opposite way can be true too, I routinely gift Education to the Khmer if they are angry, it makes them at least pleased with me, if they haven't vassalized.

Is there any way to stop the game automatically ending turns?

It's been quite annoying a few times - i.e. when I've weakened the defenders and have 'sleeping' units waiting to attack, before I can wake them up, the turn auto-ends, allowing the defenders to heal. It's getting really annoying.

I believe I've found a bug while mod-modding (latest BTS patch)...

It seems that the onUnitLost callback for game events isn't active at all. This affects only the Mercenaries mod comp, but the code called upon by this event doesn't seem to ever be activated.

I believe this potential issue could be fixed by including a modified PythonCallbackDefines.xml file to the mod.

If anyone wants to check what this proposed fix does, copy the mentioned file from the \Beyond the Sword\Assets\XML\ folder to the \Beyond the Sword\Mods\Rhye's and Fall of Civilization\Assets\XML\ folder. Change the last entry from 0 to 1. That should do it. Please report back any findings.

For some reason when trying to complete the Spanish UHV, the condition where England, France, and the Netherlands cannot settle in North America before 1700 is not checking at the appropriate time. I've attached saves from 1695 and 1703 in which it says NOT YET completed. Any idea what's wrong?

You do realize that it's ALL of America, not just North America?

After downloading the main version, all the names and a lot of symbols are bugged (e.g. All the city names have symbols replacing most of the letters, and the culture, science e.t.c symbols don't appear on the civic screen).

I'm no expert, but that just sound plain strange. Perhaps you messed something up trying to update?

Try and delete the entire mod and unpack everything anew. Make sure you have the correct version of the mod and be mindful of what directory you are installing in. (Because it can be confusing. :crazyeye:)

Alright, so I downloaded the 1.187 version of RFC. My BtS is up-to-date. I extracted the files to the Mods folder of BtS. When I tried to play it, I got a REDICULOUS amount of XML loading errors. So I perused the forum, backed-up and deleted my CustomAssets folder as it suggested, extracted a copy of the newest RfC to my main Civ4 Mods folder, re-extracted it to my BtS Mods folder just to make sure it was the right file, and tried to play it again.

Same thing. It starts to load the mod, gets to thye XML loading part, and what I have discovered is a so-far endless stream of XML loading errors come up. I have no idea what to do from here. Any help?

Could you please explain where it says that you need to do anything with the CustomAssets folder?

RFC resides under \Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\

Could someone please create a executable that extracts the patch into the right folder? Hopefully Rhye would upload it...

What about AFTER 1703? In 1706 still NOT YET?

Yes, I played until the 1730s and it still said "not yet".

Yes, there are no cities in the Americas other than my own. Also, it doesn't say that I failed the task, it says the task has not yet been completed.

Turn 290 is 1545, not 1695, in the recent versions of RFC. Did you start the game with an older version?

Hi, I have a problem here.

When I start a new game, after a few (10) turns some other civ wins a historical victory, which is of course absolutely impossible. This happens on 3000 BC and 600 AD.
This happened after I downloaded the latest version. I also have the latest BTS patch.. What can I do?

Hello all,
Has anyone else had this problem: I played as Ethiopia (starting w/ Ethiopia from the very beginning), and achieved the first two UHV. However, when the time came for the third UHV to occur (1910), it never did. I had met the requirements to get it, but I didn't get it. Strangely, the game acted like it had never occurred; the Victory Requirements screen still said "not yet accomplished" next to that UHV.
Any suggestions?

I am having a lot of problems with the new version. i played as france and germany recently and in both the time requirement UHV conditions said not yet long after they were completed. Also when i start as America all i have is a catapult in the south pole which someone else also complained about on another thread. When i try to use the pregenerated saves i get a runtime error. i am updated to BTS 3.19. Another thing, with the new research rates the fastest ive seen the AI get astronomy is lalmost 1700 and the fastest ive got it is around 1610 and i play on monarch in the regular game and RFC. that doesnt seem historically accurate to me
