Som exciting new additions to the Romans!
Rome revision 539. I choose republic.
I went directly against Carthage. The new legions made conquering easy. I razed Lpqy and enslaved them. The conquest of the rest of their empire went quickly.
As the last Carthaginian city fell, I got a great general, which triggered a consular army against Greece.
War against antigonids gave double new legions. Their cities fell quickly.
Egypt fell quickly for the legions.
Seleucids gave no free legions, but I had plenty left.
Celts fell to my large, free armies (transported there).
Persepolis fell, and couldn't be razed, so I gave it to the Bactrians.
With Nubia eliminated, the only other civ left was the Bactrians, which I decided to let live. The UHV "Dominant in the Mediterranean" hadn't triggered, but I assumed it would in 50 BC. Time to get home and work on the economy!
Judah spawned, but I got to keep my large garrison (outside the city). The war with them also gave another stack in Rome.
Nothing much hapened, I built (colosseum costs 1 hammer only?) and a legion by myself for the first time after this.
At 50 BC, I'm unquestionably the most dominant Mediterranean civ (no other Mediterranean civ exists!), but the UHV doesn't trigger.
The second UHV triggers correctly. However, the third does not trigger, despite having three great generals and 5 other great people.
I played normally, expanded quickly, but never got to see a civil war. Hoping for one another time!
