Great list! A few of those I can pull out of RFCEurope, but we will need someone to make the art.

Preliminary UHV list complete, please feel free to criticize it to your heart's content. I'll also start thinking up some unique powers.

Anyone know any good coders we can get to help us?

I agree a tilted map looks a bit strange, so I'll go with the untilted version. If so, the Magyar raids could be in as well. Plenty of options I'd say.

Should I use the original map or this new one?

I like that one. Leave that corner of England in, and you get plenty of room for Austria and Hungary.

And who is going to make the map? It seems like both of you said you are lol

I could make it. I made a Canada map for Cole98's Provincial Politics mod.

Great! The only thing is if maybe the southern part should be moved up slightly to include less of Italy and SE Europe.

I'm going on vacation next Tuesday and I have to finish a paper before I leave, so that means I don't have that much time to work on it, unfortunately.:p

That's fine. Looks like Constantinople can do it.

Looking at the list of civs, are there any more (specifically German) you think should be changed or added?

I'm working on programming things now. Hopefully I'll have a good chunk of XML done by the end of the weekend.

Perhaps the first Polish UHV could be modified to "Vassalize or destroy Prussia" instead of not losing cities to them, since there's already another "Do not lose cities to X by Y"? Although this would somewhat overlap with the "Control 3 Baltic cities".

Okay, so the map I'm going to make is going to be 70x70.

I agree, I changed it, but Prussia spawns far after that, so they will likely have to try and conquer those cities on the Baltic Sea back.

And 70x70 is fine. Do you think all the civs will fit fine on that size?

They should. England may be able to fit three cities on their island.

Feel like bringing the discussion about separated representation of Teutonic Order State and Prussia over from the RFCE thread? I feel like the scope of this mod project allows for it.

    Please explain further...

and I think the civics used in RFCEurope are very similar to those...

What do you think of that XML file? Everything looks set up for the additions

How many turns will the game be? And do you have a timeline set up?
    By that I mean:
    800 AD - Turn 1
    804 AD - Turn 2
    etc.

    Number of turns, idk.

I'm not familiar with how to set up a timeline like that in coding.

The range will be from 800 AD to 1870 AD

A timeline is essential, almost everything is built off of it. Like spawn dates.

For the HRE, I have an idea. You can take the piety concept from the game and once a Catholic civilization has X amount of piety, the HRE forms. The HRE is destroyed when the current emperor's civilization is destroyed (IRL, by Napoleon in 1806). When you discover a certain tech, you can build a wonder called Bundestag. When the wonder is complete, the HRE is dissolved if it still exists and the German Confederation is formed. The GC could be similar to the HRE but has more choices and resolutions. Although historically inaccurate, the GC will last for the rest of the game.
