RFCE 1.3 Playtest Feedback

Okok, I think I know what's up with the Papal units.

Anyway, I would like to get more crashing savegames, preferably from the turn before the crash.
Lzd offered to help me in the bughunt for it, also I plan to upload it to the sdk questions forum if we still can't find it.
We will get rid of that bastard for good :trouble:

PS: I need the savegames from 1.3.1, or from the latest SVN version (either from revision 1193 or 1194)

Savegame from next turn is attached.
But why is your savegame called "Ferdinand III AD-1275 Turn 225", when it is from 1278 and from turn 226?

Any other CTDs?
It would be great, if there would be some from other computers/OSs as well

Yeah, had one during a danish game, around the swedish spawn... Hope it will help !

Is this save from revision 1193/1194, or from 1.3.1?
For some reason I cannot run it with a debug dll from the 1193-94 source files

Well, I made updates to the .dll in revision 1191, 1192, and 1193 as well.
Nevertheless you can probably continue your savegames if you update your game to the latest svn version, I don't see anything specific which will definitely break them.
Also you can always revert back to 1190 if there is a problem.

On the other hand, for me savegames are only useful from that version if I compile and use a debug .dll with the 1190 source files.
So I would prefer to have all the savegames from 1193 or 1194 (there were no .dll changes in revision 1194, so it uses the same source)

Okay, I got the latest svn, but my saves didn't open anyway... So I started a new game. And guess what ? CTD again, but later this time (around 1400) -_- Will I be able to finish one game ? ^^' Thanks for your work !

Thanks!
Here is your game from the beginning of the next turn:

I check which city conquest is the cause of the crash, and play around with memory handling in various ways.
Hopefully soon enough even that won't be necessary, but until then I would like to have as many crashing savegames as possible.
Preferably from different computers and OSs. Does anyone experience these CTDs under Windows 7?

I had a game with Prussia and got some thought during the game. It's hard, but it shouldn't be.
UHV1 asks you to have cities in one core, 2 historical, 1 border and 2 foreign region. If you do it properly you are around 0-5 stability in 1410. Then there is a big time gap, when you have to beat up every neighbor civ.
UHV2 is easier then it looks. I was the third in rank when it started. Muscowy were done, sweeden passed out, Austria died before, Germany respawned and cities were raised, Spain repsawn too late, so only France was left. And they never really attacked back, no sod were coming for me. Golden Age, ended before 1700.
Sometimes at my GA the great person counter disappeared. !?
UHV3 before I could care about this, in my capital I got 5 general and 5 engineer, very versatile. I only used 1 engy to build La Lanterna in Slopt. So this uhv might seem funny or new but it means you have to dump every GP in capital and its pointless.
OFC cheated a headquater for Teutonic Knights 'cause when I could expand them, nobody had it.
In mid game tax rate went down to 50% due to the big army and it crippled my research. I got my UU when the GA was over !!!! So imo we should make them earlier, i.e. replace the Pistolier! That its not so late as the last upgrade. UB, I could have it a bit earlier, but i focused on UU to have them. So public school did nothing toward my aims. Thus I built them in every major city, did not sensed any progress speed up.
Pls give more stability and a lot more border/contested zone! Taking Unstable cities kill the stability rapidly.

Ideas for 1.4: 15 GP thats to forget. Put something cultural/religious stuff here.
Map: rethink the lots of swapm in the region. also imo swapm remover tech should be reachable around 1350-1400!

I have a crash to desktop problem too with this save, after I press the next turn button I always get a ctd.

I know you have my crash game but can you fix it pls? I want to finish that game.
Maybe I did something wrong, but my research was crap, thus I was really far from my UU with Poland. Should've win in 1600 with 2 turn GA, yey.

Sorry to bother you, but... once more, CTD ! A hundred years later this time.

I have a crash to desktop problem too with this save, after I press the next turn button I always get a ctd.

Thanks to all of you, very helpful!
Gilgames, your autosave crashes right on load, which makes it more difficult for me to fix your game, so didn't spend time on it. Maybe someone else can continue it on a different OS (Windows 7?) without a CTD, and will be kind enough to upload it for you so you can finish your game.
For the other 2 games saves are attached from the beginning of the next turn.

PS: NoShameD, I might have killed your Knight and one of the Huskarls in an attack on Nidaros, sry  The city is yours to take though :)
PPS: gilgames' and NoShameD's saves are from SVN revision 1193, while KeeperOT7Keys' is from 1194?
PPPS: I have lots of pending changes in my work version ATM, so there is no guarantee these saves will work without any issues. There is a good chance for it though :)

Don't worry for my knight and huskarl, I couldn't (and didn't expect to) save them ! Thanks a lot, let's hope I won't have any more problem ;-)
