RFCE 1.3 Playtest Feedback

Not a CTD.
Same game with Venice (SVN 1195 Windows 19), got the third UHV and just need to end the turn.
And that's when things get weird.

If I just hit Enter, the usual "Enrico Dandolo Wins a Historical Victory" appears on the map but the pop-up doesn't show, a hussar attacks my nights south east of Fiume and then nothing else happen. Keeps waiting for the over civs forever.
If I click on the End Turn button, no "Enrico Dandolo Wins a Historical Victory" and no pop-up, the hussar attacks and a pirate attacks my carracks north east of Tangeri, and the next turn starts. Then I can click on the EndTurn button again and win one turn later than normal.

For me everything looks normal
On end turn the "Enrico Dandolo Wins a Historical Victory" text appears, also the popup.
After clicking on it, all the other screen and popups comes up as well: the score screen, the replay screen, etc., and then the continue popup at the end.
The Hussar did attack the Knight though, but I don't think that can cause any issues under any circumstances.

Btw, how did the reformation go in your game?
Everything looked okay/balanced enough?
Changed/improved many of the reformation mechanics recently, all feedback is great on it.

EDIT: on some cases I did have to wait for some time for the popup, it always came though
probably something get's into a small loop for the AI there?
maybe try clicking on the minimap? it helped for me, no waiting time that way

Reformation become better this way, also due to more faith point, less unbalance in stability. building conversation rate seems fine too.

Great news, thanks!

There is something wrong!!! it happens in my 2. french fun game, suddenly without any reason.... you can check with your own try....

You got a so called "motherland collapse" because you don't have any cities in your spawn area, also you don't have enough cities in your historic territory.
I guess the mechanic is not perfect. While it's not necessarily a bad thing that it's dangerous not to have any cities in your core territory, this might be too much.
You have all your cities in the historic area after all.

Spawn and core are not always the same
I should probably switch to core connected to all collapse types
Anyway revision 1201 is up with a temporary solution, you can continue your game with it

I made the Norwegian uhvs 3/3 on emperor, which is good for me. Bad news that I am sure +30 stability on emperor with 2-3-4 city in foreign/unstable province is all but not intentional :(:(:(:(

The system was easy, "gain 500 viking points" by 1250. You do not need to best all civ, just 5 close and vulnerable's. befor any civ can do knight-spam berserkers are op.

here is you save Absinthe :D

Ps: I noticed indy Tonsberg right below the mountains becoming Sokna (at spawn). Whats that and why is there, when does it get there? anyway...

Well, emperor level is not that much harder stability-wise
Nevertheless you have +42 stability in the permanent expansion category, which is definitely not normal
How many of your cities declared independece during your play? How many cities did you raze? How many cities did you liberate?

Small mistake in the city coordinates, after the recent indy city spawn mechanics update
Fixed. Also for Marseille.

Didn't counted but 15-20. No liberation, no city went indy.

Strange
Do you have some earlier saves as well?

Also, how hard was it to achieve 80 Viking points?
Just tested it, and I managed to get 120 points, and I could probably do a lot more if focused on the UHV alone.
Maybe we should increase the goal a little?

It was Equally on monarch and emperor, and I barely made it. 81 and 85. Ofc I could do more if i want, but I was busy doing uhv and maintain my final goal. Ofc uhv 1+2 should be done before English spawn. However Vinland is pretty easy, it could be raised to 200 hammers.
With more focus, you can get more points, but the first 10 battle result determines you. More then everywhere else. (Tested)
sorry have no other save.

Indy cities in GB helped a lot with tonnes of cottages, also weak Scots can not resist raids

Maybe we should increase the goal a little?
and add as a goal the conquest of Sicily and Naples

I found the Viking point UHV to be pretty good in terms of balance, though it could possibly be made a little harder. I managed it only raiding independents; independent England has a lot of easily raided improvements, which of course is perfect from a historical point of view.

Speaking of Norway, could the conquest UHV swap Scotland for Northumbria? Northumbria (i.e. the Kingdom of Jorvik) was a mostly Danish kingdom, whereas there was actually substantial Norwegian settlement on the Scottish coast.

Emperor level seems to make it easier for Vikings. From memory my record for Viking points whilst still getting the UHV was 180, just shipping berserkers around the British Isles, France, Spain and then Italy and pillaging everything. Every time I built a new pair of Berserkers and ship I moved my other units around to the next country and let the AI rebuild its infrasturcture just in time for the next set to turn up.

Hardly attacked any cities, probably got 150 points just from pillaging everything across Europe. Nothing can stand up to Berserkers that early in the game and the AI almost never attacks them, even on flat land.

My strategy was not to even bother going for the 2nd UHV until the 1st was in the bag, then built four settlers, regrouped my 20 or so berserkers, captured Normandy, Mercia and Ireland and built Vinland. Easy money. UHV3 was fairly easy as I had battered France, Germany and England into submission through repeated pillaging.

I definitely think the conquest of Sicily and Calabria would add to the challenge, and would force the player to raid in the Med, rather than just farming points from the UK and France.
