Rhye's of Civilization - the fastest loading mod Expanded - PART II

Blasphemous made a good point, really. Still, what I do is usually give in once or twice early, then build my military and never give in again. They get pissed, but they notice that *I* have the power, and they never come a-calling again.

i have a problem with the game really. I was playing as England on the World Map and at with Scandinavia. I lost 1 city and then it says i lost due to a Space Race  the game wasn't on instant elimination either, so i dun no the problem... And now that i look into it, every game i start with the mod on the World map is all instant elimination, is there a way to change it? :(

Hi and thanks for a very enjoyable mod!

Does anyone know if you can have all 31 civs playing in multiplayer, or only the normal number of computer players for a multiplayer game at the moment?

...And if you can have all the civs running in multiplayer, then how do you set up the game? Thanks!

You can only have a total of 8 players in multiplayer games, with civ3.. :( I hope civ4 fixes that :)

There's a MP version of RoC which adapts the map to a 8 Euro-civ challenge. It's in the site.

Hi!

There is a new version (v4) of Clashing of Empires,
see last post of the thread for a pre-version for testing...

Now that I think of it, I don't really enjoy playing normal Conquests as much as RoCX. I find myself starting new RoCX games and trying new strategies or different difficulty levels instead of new Civ III Conquests games! :p Still fun as ever, too!

Does anyone else have this problem? :king:

Rhye!
Have you read that CIV IV will have 400-turn-games!?

I just wonder where they got the idea from! :goodjob:

..... Um.. Civ III has 540 Turn games...

Great job and exellent result. It should have been "Civ3: The Last Expansion" by Firaxis:)

Тhanks, Rhye and RoCX Team!

Hello,

I was playing exactly 1 time (one time ) normal CIV, then I already discover at first Test of Time (but I never could finish it, just because I dont have the need 100 hours to finish the last 100 rounds ;) ) and then RoC !!

I love the mod for single player. But in multiplayer I accidently hit the wrong one and did the 31 civ one this locked up the multiplayer for hotseat. I uninstalled the program and then reinstalled but to no avail. The rhyes of civ folder will not remove as its says it is being used by another program. I also tried installing to a different spot but that did not work either. I would love to take this game to work and use the rhye mod for hotseat. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here I am, playing this realistic simulation of history. I am trying to build an Incan empire that can withstand the coming Spanish invasion. The fanatical Spanish want to steal my gold, convert me to Christianity and inflict their inquisition on my people. I get up to about 500 AD and the game forces me to convert Christianity. I might as well surrender now - what’s the point of resisting the Spanish conquistadors?

haha that is a good point. I once thought about altering RoCX to allow all civs to convert to whatever religion they please. I got lazy though.

Since when have missionary converted an entire civilization without Conquistadors or a decision by the ruler? Other games (Call to Power?) have had missionaries that would approach cities and try to convert you at their own risk. But I love the mod anyway.

It’s 850AD and several European civilizations have moved in on my South America, but still no sign of the Spanish. Perhaps they are programmed to attack Mexico. I was prepared to kick the Europeans off the continent ASAP, but the Portuguese are friendly with me and busy fighting it out with the weaker Romans and Egyptians. So, I’ve got an Army that I don’t know what to do with. I could take the Portuguese colonies and later incur their wrath or I could move north and take Central America from the Mayans. I may need the Mayans as allies against the Spanish so maybe I should sit tight and wait for the Spanish.
