Rhye's of Civilization - the fastest loading mod Expanded - PART II

ummmm...hi, noob alert `n all, the mod looks great, any interests in making an expansion with the 5th age?, you know, near future? I bet if you do it, it will be amazing. I mean, no aliens or such, but maybe some metal gear type upgrade for modern armors, maybe some power armor for the infantry and such. cheers!

Hello and welcome.
It's technically impossible in the Civ3 engine to add an age. The best we could do is squeeze alot of tech into the last age. the idea has come up, but there weren't enough people interested in taking part in the development so nothing has come of it. Generally the development of the mod has been halted for good, further development will not be official. Still, you're free to mod however you wish, and we'd be glad to see the results.

I think i saw it somewhere on the forums, the adding of the 5th age (messing with the future techs or something, I dunno)...oh well, nevermind. I`m not free to mod however I wish, `cause I won`t let myself do it :) I`m a total noooooob, changing the civs color is the top of my modding achievements :)
Maybe in a few years eheheh. Tnx for the answer (btw I agree on the coffee issue :))

Hey, if you find some way to add an age I'd love to know but I think news of that magnitude would spread fast. Anyhow, I expect this's mod community to all but disappear soon enough as everyone gets Civ4, along with the other Civ3 mods' communities... I'll be picking up a copy sometime next week myself...
When the time comes I will give a nice juicy sentimental goodbye to the best mod for Civ3, ever.

Hey dude, I really like the way you post an answer so quickly, the wh mod 2.1 expansion team takes forever to answer and I just bombard them with questions :)
The communities will just transfer to Civ4 mods I hope. But then all I`ll be able to do is alot of reading, and drooling and dreaming `cause this piece `o crap computer would probably explode if it found itself in the same room with civ4... :(

Meh, I should envy the WH people if they have enough of a life to not be here all the time. xD
I'm going to bed soon anyways, I just happened to be on the bored side in the last few hours.
It's still very hard to tell what will happen with the mod communities and Civ4. I doubt any mods will be made for Civ4 in the next couple of months... People need time to get used to the new game, possibly get sick of the standard rules, and get used to the new broad modding options. There will probably be such a large break from massive modding that the old communities will have disappeared and new communities will surface around new mods for the new game.
Sorry to hear you won't be able to play cIV... Looks like a really awesome game. But hey, I'm still not sick of C3C after all this time, most players aren't yet, you've probably got alot of gameplay left in that game if you're still new to it. :)

Actually I`m not all that impressed with the Civ4 screenshots, i kinda got used to Civ3 graphics (which are similar to Civ2 graphics-started with that one on Playstation years ago.). I`m just new to this modding stuff, i always find out aboud mods late, i finnished the whole Morrowind (cca 300h of gameplay) befoure i bumped into the Morrowind summit site(3500 mods!). And communities or not, i bet all the people from here will be there also, maybe just in different teams, plus hordes of Noobs! :) See ya, bye for now.

people are already spamming the Civ4 C&C thread, but I doubt they'll make something useful in less than 2 months

I must be ********. There is no button that says "Civ Content" in my Civ3. How do you people play the mod?

Here is my CIV3

civ3 without expansions sucks. there are no other words to say it

Nah, it doesn't suck. But, once you've got the expansions, you will never go back to playing without them!
