Rhye's of Civilization - the fastest loading mod Expanded - PART II

My favorite mod.

However, I made a few changes.

Holland deleted. Added Poland. The Netherlands lies between France and Germany. It is hampered by the German expansion. Between Germany and Russia a lot of space. This is a historic region of Poland (with the principality of Lithuanian). Expansion of Poland in Baltic Sea coast and Ukraine. Unique units are winged Hussar and polish medieval infantry (like swiss).

Removed Byzantium. Added Tatar (Golden Horde). The capital of Sarai Batu (Volgograd). Expansion of the South Russian and Kazakh steppe. Unique units warrior Hun (swordsman), and Nomads Horde (mongolian keshik). Yes, this is a controversial option. But in the games for Russia and Poland will be very interesting. All the medieval history of Russia and Poland battle against nomads Horde.

In Central Asian desert. This is wrong. Now in this region 50 million population. I added the rivers Amu-Darya and Syr-Darya from the Pamirs to the Aral Sea. Added plains near Lake Balkhash (Alma-Ata). Central Asia inhabited by barbarian (camel riders). Resource of silver and uranium (uranium mining is in fourth place after Canada, South Africa and Australia) This land for the expansion of Russia, Mongolia, Persia and the Arabs. In this land can make unique civilization. Kushan empire for example.

Western Siberia and Kazakhstan. Corrected rivers and lands.

Russia. Fixed Volga, Don and Russian hills.

Europe did well. I added the plains on the shores of the Baltic and North seas. Sea reduced. For the expansion of Germany and Poland.

Africa. Slightly reduced the Sahara. Added plains in Namibia near uranium.

Mongolia. Added two rivers. Kerulen (mongolian river) and Onon (the birthplace of Genghis Khan). Near Chita added uranium (Krasnokamensk - the largest uranium mine in Russia)

China. Added uranium for a Chinese atoms.

USA. Reduced the desert in the west.

Minor editing of resources (coal, iron) around the world.

Svetomir, could you publish your version of this mod? These changes sounds great.

Rhye's of Civilization Expanded v1.23_POLAND_TATARS_ver6.biq

Folder Nick (art for new units).
In folder Rhye's of Civilization X new files units32 and PediaIcons (added new units).
None descriptions of new units in civilopedia. But it works.
Currently testing this map.

Best regards,

You know that poll from the first thread? I've overwritten my conquest files so that when I select new game I'm really playing Rhye's Random Map. I literally can't play Civ without this: no more loading times! Anytime I tried playing regular conquests I'd be sitting there thinking why can't I build harbors at pottery, and why is my archer 2/1 and my spearman 1/2??

The only thing that doesn't work now is the hall of fame so when I finish a game I gotta edit it in there manually. I've made some tweaks and changes here and there and for my first time really delving into civ3 editing it was a lot of fun. In fact I enjoyed it so much I convinced myself that once I get tired of this I'll buy civ4.

Don't have BtS yet.

You got your mod immortalized. Well done and congratulations.

So I finally bought Civ IV, but before I started I figured I'd do one last game on rhye's world map. I played as my favourite conquering team, the Mongols. I had tried the horde a few times before and although I've come close a couple times I'd never actually finished a domination game.

Playing on diety I got through the ancient age with a huge tech lead (it helps when you've memorized where all the goody huts are). My strategy was to prebuild chariots till I got mounted combat, then pre build horsemen till I got chivalry. Here's what the horde looked like in 190 AD just after I'd researched chivalry:

Beijing was nice enough to build Sun Tzu's for me and after that it was off to the races. In order after them I took out Babylon, Persia, Arabia, Ottomans, Korea, India, Austria, Germany, Dutch, France, Portual, Spain, Vikings, Russia, Rome, Greece, Isreal, Egypt, Ethiopia & Carthage. Here's the final power chart.

Well, it was a lot of fun for what'll probably be my last civ 3 game in a long time, thanks again for the great mod!

Great mod! I enjoy playing it very much. I surely boost loading speed.

After play it i found that:
1. AI playing American badly, they are technological backward, their territory is small and military poor too. Before they get their Unique unit the game might end already
2. Egyptians' cities has only few shield and keep suffering from floodplain diseases.
3. Because its hard to built settle, the European tend to fight each other instead of expanding to other continent.

I play as Arabian conquered almost all of Africa and meanwhile German already had all Europe under his control. They are technology advance then... they declared war on me bring out their tanks and cavalries. I can't fight back since my units are in large quantity but poor quality.

 what!!!?? damn.. thats not Bismarck, he is Hitler!!! look at this:

They work ! Thanks! Btw since I am kinda new seems to be a custom here to reply once in a day . Civ games are time consuming hobby :D

This being a long thread I decided to ask here.

Now when I see the .exe file extension and the word "installer" in close proximity it is my experience that something is not Mac compatible. If it was just the .exe alone, I could simply extract the files using Stuffit Expander. But, "installer" tells me it's a Windows installer, and Mac don't work with such things. (Aint it horrible when your preferred OS is a bigot? :) )

So my question is, where might one find a copy of RoC compressed as a .rar file. The whole thing, no installer needed. RAR files my Mac can handle. Even a .dmg would be good.

Thanks ahead of time.
