I will give diamondz a break and post one

Some try to hide, some try to cheat, but time will show, we always will meet.
Try as you might, to guess my name, I promise you'll know, when you I do claim.

Who am I?
Death??

Mr Allen was enjoying a steam bath in his sauna when he was killed. The police came to interview the maid. She said that after preparing dinner, she called for Mr Allen but recieved no answer. She went to the sauna and wiped the steam off the window and saw him lying on the floor. Quickly she knocked down the locked door to come to his aide but found he was already dead. She then ran to the phone and called the police.

After hearing her testomony, she was immediatly arrested. Why?
The steam would be on the inside of the sauna and not on the outside as the maid claimed.

You may be right on that but for this riddle, lets assume they do. Its not the answer.

Doh! I knew it had something to do either with the dinner, or the steam. I just couldn't put my finger on it...

Anyway, it's nice to take a break from posting riddles, and actually trying to solve some.

I will post a few more in a few minutes.

I've got one, probably a stupid one, but anyway...

I'm normally white or brown and roundish in shape. Chicks really crack me up.
What am I?

How many sides does a circle have?

- - -

You can find me in darkness but never in light.
I am present in daytime but absent at night.
In the deepest of shadows, I hide in plain sight.
What am I?

- - -

You are standing by a river with a 5-gallon jug and a 3-gallon jug, but you need exactly 4 gallons of water. Using only the 2 jugs you have, how can you measure out 4 gallons?

- - -

When liquid splashes me, none seeps through.
When I am moved alot, liquid I spew.
When I am hit, color I change.
And color, I come in quite a range.
What I cover is very complex,
and I am very easy to flex.
What am I?

1. One? None? Is it a trick question? :crazyeye:
2. A Shadow?
3. You fill up the 3 gallon jug and pour it into the 5 gallon jug. Then you fill up the 3 gallon jug again and fill up the 5 gallon jug. You then have 5 gallons in one jug and 1 gallon in the other jug. Dump out the 5 gal jug. Pour the one remaining gallon from the 3 gallons jug into the 5 gallon jug. Then fill up the 3 gallon jug and pour it into the 5 gallon jug to equal 4.

Two - inside and outside

Fill the 3 gallon jug
Empty it into the 5 gallon jug
Fill the 3 gallon jug again
Pour it into the 5 gallon jug until the 5 gallon jug is full. There will be 1 gallon remaining in the 3 gallon jug.
Empty the 5 gallon jug.
Pour the 1 gallon remaining from the 3 gallon jug into the 5 gallon jug.
Fill the 3 gallon jug
Empty the 3 gallon into the 5 gallon jug. There will now be exactly 4 gallons in the 5 gallon jug.

Diamondz :goodjob: on 3 and 4, the others are not correct.

You have a different answer for the water though. you could fill the 5 gallon jug, and use it to fill the 3 gallon. Dump out the 3 gallon jug. Pour the remaining 2 gallons into the 3 gallon jug. Refil the 5 gallon jug from the river. Use the 5 gallon just to fill the remaining 1 gallon of the 3 gallon jug. then there is 4 gallons left in the 5 gallon jug.

Geez, I never typed the word gallon so much in my life :)

KingWilly :goodjob: both correct

Ok, my turn. :) Some fun ones.

My first is in chocolate but not in ham, my second's in cake and also in jam, my third at tea-time is easily found, my whole is a friend who's often around.
What am I?

Often held but never touched, always wet but never rusts, often bites but seldom bit, to use me well you must have wit.
What am I?

What runs around all day then lies under the bed with its tongue hanging out?
