"We're screwed, man!"

(CNN)Actor Bill Paxton, whose extensive career included films such as "The Terminator," "Aliens" and "Titanic," has died, a representative for his family said in a statement. He was 61.

Oh no! He was still young. :(

Oh goddamn it...yeah, this is way too soon...he still had so much life ahead of him (yes, even though he was 61; guy was still vital and energetic, making and starting in everything).

Such a loss...not just a talent, but a good guy too...this world needs more people who are just plain nice to everyone. And now we just lost one...

U.S. 'stormchasers' put together a tribute to Paxton using SpotterNetwork, which tracks the chasers' locations using GPS, to scrawl his initials across Kansas and Oklahoma, centered on the town of Wakita, OK. (I think there are better images of it available on Twitter.)

Call me a fan. Like a lot of people, I first noticed Paxton in Aliens in '86, which quickly became one of my favorite movies of all time. In '87, he reteamed with his former Colonial Marine comrades Lance Henriksen and Jeannette Goldstein for Near Dark, by an unknown director named Kathryn Bigelow.
