Rip Civs from Complete edition?

Hey all,

A while back, I purchased Civ III complete edition. I installed it on my computer.... yadda yadda. Anyways, I formatted my hdd, so, no more game. When we went on vacation, I installed the game on my dad's laptop. Then my cd's got scratched in the car . I tried conquests and ptw, but didn't like them as much as the regular civilization III.

So I obtain a vanilla copy of Civilization III and install it on my computer. One thing I noticed was it doesn't have all the civs that the complete edition had (for example, the Celts). So I was wondering if there was any way to get the extra civs off the complete edition (still installed on the laptop) and move them to the Civ III game on my computer?

Welcome to CFC! You would have to mod them in via the game editor (and change some files around, etc.) If you don't have some experience it is really hard.

I suggest downloading a mod like Double Your Pleasure if you want extra civs (be warned: it is a different style of play; gameplay is different, more units, civs, etc. It is what the title says: double.
