God of Kings
Ruler of all heads of state
The Italian civ does not even need Rome to be in its city list.
When I hear Italian Republic I think of the territory that France controlled during the Revolution
(When I hear "Italy" I think of pasta)
That would be an interesting trade delegation gift.(When I hear "Italy" I think of pasta)
I think of Rome only when I hear about the Roman Empire.A history nerd might hold me for this, but my mind goes to Rome first. Perhaps that's where my own confusion stems from as there is no such issue with Greece.
Florence, Venice, Milan, Genoa, Naples, Turin, Bologna, Pisa, Verona, Pisa, Palermo, Parma etc. (there's enough)The Italian civ does not even need Rome to be in its city list.
I see, with that clarification I can absolutely agree and I'd support the idea. It was not what I understood by "Italy civ" when I saw it thrown around a few times. Is there a common English term adopted that covers the Renaissance city states that could be used as a name, avoiding possible confusion with modern Italy? I've felt uneasy with Greece for the same reason, though I do appreciate the connection is clear and de facto the same principle could work with Italy regarding the city states. It's just that Greece is widely associated with the ancient city states while there are many more stages Italy has gone through that could be associated with the name.
Of course that could just be me, don't kill me with stones if you find my concern trivial or negligible![]()
That and beaver pelts tooSpeaking of delegations I hope Poundmaker will give you a peace pipe and some buffalo/bison meat or skin.
The Italian trade delegation could offer pasta, cheese, wine, and some marble sculptures.
That too would be a great gift. How about prosciutto?
William Wallace never really used a broadsword despite art and other media of him with the sword; his favoured weapon was actually the longbow.
EDIT: Or at least; so I am told.
Good thing Boudicca is still a Great General.I will be appalled if we get Medieval Scotland over Medieval Ireland, but tbh I'll believe this leak is true when I see it. I really don't think we'll see the Zulu or the Celts/Scotland in R&F. All that being said, I will take William Wallace in a hearbeat over Noble Savage Hippie New Age Guru Boudicca.![]()
That might be so.I assume this week we'll be back to our pre-holiday schedule of

Wednesday 2 p.m. ET: livestream (probably?)
Friday sometime: wonder video
Any reason to think otherwise?
