Heh. :D

Yeah - and correct me if I'm wrong - but I believe the population and territory of a CS is tied to the total number of envoys therein.

Is it? I've never been aware of that tbh.

At any rate no one is taking that suzerainty away from you without conquering the city :D

Amani doubles your envoys.

Please, please Firaxis adjust the AI to hate other AI for DoWing all the time, or calculating the other AI negative modifiers.

Has anyone experienced emergencies? I am almost done on my first game via Cree Cultural victory. No emergency yet.

Also I observed there were less AI conquering CS in my game.

Hmm. I've got to get used to accepting those strategically. Valletta died so I could have ice from Saladin.

You can accept delegation, don't worry about the intel combat bonus. When a war is declared the delegates are removed, which mean they lose the combat bonus, it's only there while you're at peace. Some sources of intel stick when you're at war (listening post, printing technology, Mongolia's trading post), others don't and essentially have no effect in the game, unless it make the AI more likely to declare war on you because they are stronger but idk if this is a thing.

Has someone noticed what the ceding of cities now does? Does it take away -5 Occupation loyalty penalty?

The devs said cede wasn't changed, so it shouldn't affect loyalty or anything that matter. Don't cede unless you're testing the mechanic.

So I was playing the Cree and ran into Arabia conquering Valletta in the first twenty or so turns. I thought to help out with my UU, but when I scrolled over Arabia's warriors and slinger, he had a +3 combat modifier that said "Intel on opponents movements." What is that?
Diplomatic Visibility. You accepted his delegation.

What is the point in accepting AI delegations? As far as I know you only get a positive relations modifier when you send a delegation to them

The AI seems more aggressive and combat capable. Genghis declared on me, I cleared all his initial forces then he proceeded to send the envoy governor to my neighboring city state which smashed one of my cities while the rest of my army was fighting Genghis' second wave. I'm actually impressed. And I went down to King for the first game.
That's great to hear. Any other interesting war reports?

Got the expansion from GMG, but it's still downloading. Well, I had uninstalled Civ6 so I'm downloading everything.

I'm endlessly annoyed at the pricing of the small civ DLCs, and the fact they're seldom discounted to boot, let alone down to decent levels. One would've thought that with the R&F launch they'd be merciful, but not at all: they're milking the cow. I regret not buying the Deluxe Edition, but then I never expected them to be so dickish about the extras.
